Last Tuesday, the Senate Judiciary Committee passed their markup of the Gang of Eight's "immigration reform" bill - a version that not only preserves most of the bill's original problems, but also contains 233 additional pages of rules.
Senator Ted Cruz says that the bill only makes our current immigration problems "worse." Sadly, he holds the minority opinion as he was one of only five Senate Judiciary Members who opposed S. 744's exit from committee.
However, despite wisdom and warnings, the immigration bill will soon be moving forward very soon - in fact, we'll likely see it brought to the floor after the Farm Bill is decided next week.
This means that we have relatively little time to fight this "immigration fix" and all of the bad language within it... namely, its provisions for a national biometric database, the pathway to a National ID card.
This very dangerous language currently found in the Gang's Plan must be removed, else our Constitutional freedom be greatly compromised.
