It's unbelievable! Republicans-In-Name-Only (RINOs) and Democrats in the United States Senate actually conspired and tried to railroad an amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act through the Senate that would have given the U.S. government broad powers to detain American citizens indefinitely, without a trial (or even after they had been tried and found not guilty in a civilian court).
And we're not just talking about American citizens captured on a foreign battlefield... we're talking about Americans, on American soil, who were simply "deemed" to be a terrorist threat.
Something has gone horribly wrong in this great country. If you're anything like me, you've known for some time that our elected leaders are not representing us; but now, it's obvious that they're not even LISTENING TO US!
