HR 8404 will not just force same-sex marriage on the nation. It will also allow just one state to force every state to recognize any perversion of “marriage.” This bill goes far beyond same-sex marriage. Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) is only a few votes from passing this bill. To boost his efforts, 12 multinational pro-LGBTQ corporations dispatched their lobbyists on Capitol Hill last week.

Democrats and a few Republicans are desperately trying to push the oxymoronic “(Dis)Respect for Marriage Act” (HR 8404). This federal bill will snatch power from each state to deconstruct marriage, harm society, abuse children and silence or bankrupt ANYONE who stands in the way.

This bill will subject people of faith to be investigated and sued by the Department of Justice if they do not bow to same-sex marriage. They can also be sued by individuals as well. And this is just the beginning.

Send faxes immediately to help fight this outrageous bill. — Mat

Conservatives,

This bill will have damaging impact far beyond the Supreme Court’s 2015 opinion on same-sex marriage.

If HR 8404 passes, it will create a baseline public policy that will have both a direct and an indirect impact. State laws will have to conform to this national public policy, in both public and many private realms.

HR 8404 will establish a federal public policy that gender is irrelevant even in an obvious gender-based human relationship—marriage. Such a public policy will extend far beyond same-sex marriage. If gender is “irrelevant” in marriage, then it will be “irrelevant in sports and private separate gender facilities.

Object to the drag queen indoctrinating your child in school? Too bad. This public policy will make you look like a bigot, much like if someone objected to having a person of color speak to the class. LGBTQ will be placed in the same protected category as race.

Putting special privileges for same-sex conduct on the same level as religious freedom or race-based discrimination — will have a destructive impact across America.

HR 8404 conscripts all of the federal agencies to leverage their authority and resources to do what Congress cannot do for the LGBTQ lobby. Think DOJ, FBI, DHS, DOE, IRS and more.

Schumer only needs a few more votes. We need your help to STOP this bill. Tell senators to Vote NO on HR 8404.

Some years ago, Bob Jones University lost its tax-exempt status because of its policy banning interracial dating on campus. Bob Jones has since changed its policy.

Mind you, there was no federal law that Bob Jones violated. But the IRS revoked the Christian school’s tax-exempt status, arguing the school violated “public policy.” The public policy was racial nondiscrimination in the 1964 Civil Rights Act. Even though Bob Jones asserted its free exercise rights, it lost against the broad public policy argument.

HR 8404 will establish a similar public policy that will be used to crush religious freedom. The real goal here is to silence and punish people of faith while forcing the LGBTQ agenda on everyone.

Remember the Kentucky Clerk Kim Davis who spent six days in jail for refusing to use her name and authority to endorse same-sex marriage? Even though the Kentucky legislature unanimously passed a religious accommodation law, HR 8404 would override the law and force every person in public service to violate their sincere religious beliefs.

Don’t think you will escape HR 8404. There is no religious exemption. The vague “public policy” argument impacted Bob Jones University. No one and no institution will be immune from the impact of HR 8404.

We must block this bill, and the time is short. Send your faxes to the Senate urging them to stop HR 8404.

The (Dis)Respect for Marriage Act is so close to passing. All Democrats will vote yes, and we count at least four Republican senators who indicated they will support this bill, including Rob Portman (OH), Susan Collins (ME), Lisa Murkowski (AK) and Thom Tillis (NC). It is unknown how many more are silently supporting this bill, but our staff on Capitol Hill say this vote will be close.

To keep this in perspective, when this bill passed the House, 47 Republicans voted for it. But now, many already regret their vote because they have heard from YOU. Now that the bill is in the Senate, we need to urge every lawmaker to oppose it.

If the Senate falls short of 60 votes, then all Schumer needs is two of four critical votes to abolish the filibuster. That would be devastating not only for this bill but also because many other horrible bills will pass. It is hard to communicate just how thin a line is keeping this bill (and a torrent of others) from passing.

We cannot be silent. We cannot underestimate the power of corporate lobbying and finances and vote buying right before the election.

I know we have asked you to respond on HR 8404. Many of you have done so. But we must continue to flood the Senate with faxes and petitions. We have been able to delay the vote thus far, but we cannot rest until HR 8404 is dead. We must not let up until we achieve victory.

Every senator must hear from you. WE NEED YOUR VOICE to send a strong message NOW because Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer is pushing for a vote ASAP. STOP HR 8404 from becoming law with your urgent faxes to the Senate.

Our work is only possible with your support. And now our Challenge Grant will effectively DOUBLE YOUR DONATION. PLEASE, be a part of the blessing today by selecting here or the button below.

We need your voice. Losing this battle is unthinkable.
