There are few qualities greater than a willingness to serve others. Florida-02 is full of generous constituents who know the value of helping their community. Here are some great local stories about people giving back --

A small group in Tallahassee is getting behind an effort to help the homeless with something usually tossed in the trash. They’re making sleeping mats out of plastic grocery bags. Since 2012, “A Hand Up” organization has been giving back to the community. Last week, they helped residents with a food giveaway. Hundreds of families left with a trunk full of different foods. Feeding Gulf Coast and business partners donated the food. With their partnerships, “A Hand Up” can provide for over 1,000 families monthly. The organization was supported by its volunteers that also believe in the cause of helping those in need. Read more here

The thrift shop currently has about 25 volunteers ranging from ages 16 to 86, and it provides for local schools, non-profits, and fire victims and donates to local charities. Read more here.
