Title:  SCOTUS vs. the Jan 6 Committee.
June 24, 2022
by Michael Charles Master (author of Trump the Disrupter at amazon.com

This Jan 6 committee needs to pay attention to the recent rulings by SCOTUS about gun control and Roe v Wade.  Justice Thomas was clear.   Justice Alito was clear.   A right in the Constitution does not have to be earned.  All American citizens own those rights without having to do anything to own those rights (gun ownership).  Those rights cannot be diluted by governments (state or federal).   And if the Constitution does not grant a power to the federal government, then that power remains with the states as per the 10th Amendment as stated (regulation of abortions).  In addition, if the Constitution does not explicitly state a right, then that right doesn't necessarily exist (abortion).

If that applies to the 2nd Amendment and the 10th Amendment, then it applies to all the rights in the Constitution, including the 1st Amendment.

Read the first Amendment and then tell me how Trump did anything wrong with his comments on Jan 6, his comments concerning election fraud getting Biden elected, his comments to state leaders asking them to refer his objections to their legislatures for a redress of grievances,  or his comments to his staff on trying to figure out how to reverse the election?

If actions by this Jan 6 committee ever go to the Supreme Court, how do you think that it will rule?  If SCOTUS ruled against this committee, then what would that do in helping Trump get reelected?

26 states have laws which limit and/or ban abortion that got triggered with the overturn of Roe v Wade.   Those 26 states include Georgia, Michigan, Arizona, and Wisconsin.   By simple logic, those states are conservative.  Biden got the electoral college votes in those states because of election fraud such as ballot harvesting, drop boxes, and non-enforcement of voter ID.  These anti-abortion laws in those swing states are more indication that Trump won them in 2020, not Biden.

Democrats are now claiming that they need to pass legislation in Congress that codifies Row v Wade nationwide.  That is political hyperbole.  Those Democrats just don't get it.  That is why too much of what liberals/Democrats do gets reversed by the Supreme Court.  SCOTUS just ruled that abortion regulation is a state right.  So if Congress passes legislation concerning abortion, then SCOTUS just sent a signal that it will rule that such legislation is unconstitutional because states own the authority about abortion... not the federal government.

Liberals just don't get it ... because they don't want to get it.  Look at the legislation that Democrats tried to pass as voters' rights.   More unconstitutional legislation.   As per the Constitution, election processes are states' authority, states' rights, not a federal power.

As usual, liberals think that tyranny of the majority can change the rules of our Constitution instead of using Article 5 to do it.  Just as with this Jan 6 committee that has no representation by pro-Trump supporters (all 9 of the members voted to impeach Trump), Democrats just ignore issues like due process, states' rights, gun ownership rights, and the Bill of rights because none of that fits their agenda.

So far, SCOTUS has been clear in all of its rulings concerning items of the Bill of Rights like religion, free speech,  guns,  due process, states' rights, etc.  Democrats have lost every case where they infringed on any of those rights, including states' rights as per the 10th Amendment.   Add those to all the situations where Democrats/liberals/media have been caught spinning the facts like the Sandmann situation, and it is obvious why Democrats failed to convict Trump in the impeachments and why this Jan 6 committee is also a failure.

So this Jan 6 committee needs to take heed that their actions will actually get Trump reelected as Americans learn how much this Jan 6 committee is trampling our Constitution.
