PROJECT VERITAS

Dear Conservatives,

Yesterday, The New York Times wrote yet another hit piece attacking Project Veritas.

Among the numerous insinuations they published, their reporter -- Michael Schmidt -- tried to claim we used Ashley Biden’s diary as “leverage” against her father, Joe Biden.

Then, to make it even more ridiculous, MSNBC host Rachel Maddow went a step further and called it “extortion.”

You can watch my response to Schmidt and Maddow here:

Here is what Project Veritas’ chief legal officer, Jered Ede, ACTUALLY wrote to Biden (The New York Times selectively edited out the first sentence of this in their article):

“We make this offer [to comment] in good faith, with the hopes to allow you, Mr. Biden, to present your side of the story to the public.  Should we not hear from you by Tuesday, October 20, 2020, we will have no choice but to act unilaterally and reserve the right to disclose that you refused our offer to provide answers to the questions raised by your daughter. We hope you accept the offer and let the public know your side of the story.”

And here is what Schmidt emailed our lawyers this week when he requested comment on his story:

“We’re doing a story about Ashley Biden's diary and the ongoing federal investigation. Here are some specific questions we have for Project Veritas. If you want to comment or answer any of these questions we'd appreciate responses by the end of the day.”

Quite obviously, BOTH Ede and Schmidt were asking for comment. Somehow, ours is being interpreted as “extortion.”

As outrageous as Schmidt’s and Maddow’s claims are, they will not succeed. The truth, in the end, will prevail.

Be Brave,

James
