AMTRAK WRECK SATURDAY CONCLUSION(S) SUGGESTS PELOSI'S 'INFRASTRUCTURE BILL' WILL [NOW] PASS, BUT WHAT REALLY HAPPENED IN JOPLIN MONTANA ?

Dave Bertrand Comment / Opinion

(Joplin Montana) The tragic results of Saturday's AMTRAK wreck, resulting 3 deaths and 50 injured, in the remote part of Montana was the result of a "Sun Kink" of the lower side of curved track, according to AMTRAK officials. This happens because of extreme heat and hundreds of heavy (mile long) freight trains and the weakening of the track section.

This wreck comes at a peculiar time when Pelosi (conveniently) went on a talk show Sunday, following the AMTRAK crash, to exclaim her confidence an 'Infrastructure Bill' would get the necessary votes in-order to build better railroads, bridges and highways.

Well...hell yea ! I'd vote yes if I were sitting on the fence, knowing an AMTRAK train carrying 143 people crashed because of a wore-down track system, but wait a minute !

First of all.....

Freight trains over a mile long are very heavy as opposed to passenger trains, and prior to that crash, many freight trains traveled over the same track the morning before the crash.

Second......

Quite unusual; the locomotive was not affected and remained on the track. Only the center coach cars, carrying passengers, derailed and turned on their side, killing 3 passengers that ejected through the windows and consequently crushed under the cars. 50 passengers were airlifted to nearby hospitals....

CBS reported the train was speeding around the curve which is false. Max speed allowed on that stretch is 80 mph. My close friend, of whom was scheduled to take-charge of the same train about 30 minutes later, was immediately summoned to the wreckage to assist with recovery, etc. His wife (Amanda) responded to CBS (See Below).

This wreck comes at a time when politicians sitting on-the-fence must decide if the 'Infrastructure Bill' (filled with pork) must be passed to stop needless train wrecks in the future....peculiar timing that (IMO) is NOT a coincidence, but "Synchronicity" in action, on the same weekend Pelosi seems very confident about passage of the bill.

I should note....America's track system is constantly checked by (vehicle rail) contractors with sophisticated equipment which basically reads the rail(s) ahead of most passenger trains for the slightest defect.

Temperatures in Montana over the week have been in the upper 70's and lower 80's. Warping of rails is NOT common in those temperatures, but what-the-hell !! A great argument for [CLIMATE CHANGE] advocates.

Amanda Berg's Response To CBS Report.......

Max speed is not 110 miles per hour, that is a lie from the fake news propaganda machine CBS News. The max speed for that entire route is 80 miles per hour. On September 25th there were no speed restrictions to prevent them from going max speed in that section of the track.

You are dramatizing the situation and making it something it isn't. Amtrak now has an automated system that controls the speed of the train, therefore speeding isn't even on the table; which you are aware of because your news agency reported on the new system when it was rolled out.

A similar event happened shortly after the Washington state derailment a few years ago, when the derailment of an Amtrak passenger train WAS in-fact speeding in excess of the 'Curve Speed Restriction' and because of that accident, a new system to stop such an event from happening again was fully operational Saturday with no rail detector warnings when the accident happened.

This is more likely track failure. The unlikely part however is if track failure was to occur, it should have happened to a freight train and not to Amtrak. Amtrak is significantly lighter. Weakness in the track would be more likely to show itself before Amtrak would ever be affected due to this. The ties on that exact part of the track were replaced new one month before this happened. That then leaves failure of the rail car itself. Will be interesting to find out. God bless all the families impacted by this tragedy. May peace find its' way to you
