FLORIDA - JOE HARDING WEEKLY UPDATE 03/22/2021

 

WEEKLY UPDATE Dear Friends, This week we had several legislative victories that I am excited to share with you. Tuesday Tuesday I presented HB 735 which is a Preemption of Local Occupational Licensing in the Commerce Committee and it passed favorably. This was the bills last committee stop before moving to the House floor. Wednesday Wednesday I presented HB 791 in the Workforce and Postsecondary Education in the Secondary Education & Career Development Subcommittee and it also passed favorably. Thursday Thursday I presented HB 133 the "Surrender of Newborn Infants" bill on the House Floor and it passed favorably with 108 yeas and 11 nays. As the first Representative in my Freshman class to present and pass a bill on the House Floor I could not be more thrilled that it was a bill that will protect children and help parents in crisis situations.
