Senate Republicans Unveil “Justice Act” Police Reform Legislation

Yesterday President Donald Trump signed an executive order on law enforcement reform and called for law enforcement agencies to ban chokeholds “except if an officer’s life is at risk.” The executive order touches on use of force practices, information sharing to track officers with repeated complaints against them, and federal incentives to deploy non-police experts on issues related to mental health, homelessness, and addiction.

   

Senator Hawley Will Introduce Legislation Targeting Big Tech Tyranny

On Wednesday, Senator Josh Hawley, Republican of Missouri, will bring a bill to the Senate floor that will “give consumers grounds to sue companies like Facebook or Twitter over accusations of selective censorship of political speech,” according to Axios.

Twitter Threatened to Ban Tom Cotton for Defending Rule of Law

As if Sen. Tom Cotton wasn’t busy enough fending off the hysterics over at the New York Times, he’s now facing threats of censorship from Twitter over the same opinions he expressed in the aforementioned failing publication.
