SECOND DISTRICT CORONAVIRUS UPDATE
Dear Friend,
It’s been a stressful couple of weeks. Our everyday routines have been turned upside down and positive news has been hard to come by. With that said, I want to take a moment and reassure you that we will be alright. As I continue my own recovery from COVID-19, I can tell you that we are getting stronger every day.
This is a very fluid situation and President Trump and Congress are taking very aggressive steps to alleviate as many economic pressures as possible as we work toward reopening our economy. I pledge to keep you up to date on what’s happening in Washington as well as news from around the Second District. To get these updates, please click here.
This is not the first time our district has been faced disruption and uncertainty. And just like the weeks and months following Hurricane Michael, our communities have rallied together despite physically being apart. We’ve seen people donate hundreds, if not thousands, of handmade face masks. We’ve seen neighbors helping by grabbing groceries for one another and teachers who have selflessly gone above and beyond to comfort their students. Let’s not forget about the incredible healthcare professionals, first responders, grocery store workers, truck drivers and everyone else who is doing their part to maintain as much normalcy as possible. I’m so proud of how our communities persevere when faced with adversity.
We still have some tough weeks ahead, and I would like to remind you that my team and I are here for you. We’ve been working diligently to answer calls and emails about trouble with federal agencies. We have also worked hard to represent and assist our agricultural community and small businesses.
Here is an updated list of resources that may help you:
For general information regarding COVID-19 -
For individuals and households -
I would also like to remind you to avoid close contact with others, wash your hands, use hand sanitizer, wear a mask if you need to leave your house, and cover your cough or sneeze. Most of all, stay at home if you are not feeling well. If you think you might have the Coronavirus, please call your doctor and explain what you are feeling before going to a hospital.
I will send you more updated resources in the coming weeks. With that said, for more regular updates, remember to sign up hear from me directly. You can also follow me on Facebook and Twitter for real-time updates. To find resources for students, teachers, veterans, and small businesses, please visit my website at www.Dunn.House.Gov.
We are in this together. We WILL get through this.
Sincerely,
Neal Dunn Member of Congress
