THE DEMOCRAT PARTY IS THE PARTY OF DEATH!!!

Coronavirus and the Party of Death

On the coronavirus channel, CNN, one can always count on regular updates about the number of fatalities from the virus. In hushed tones, the hosts reveal that the “number has reached 150.” Imagine such hosts speaking so gravely about the number of deaths each day from abortion, which is around 4,000. Imagine them putting that number in a box on the bottom of the screen.

Of course, it would never happen. Most of the pundits on CNN who hysterically swoon over coronavirus cases and deaths support abortion and euthanasia. As Wesley Smith points out in National Review Online, one of Joe Biden’s chief advisers on coronavirus is someone who thinks we would all be better off if members of the elderly didn’t live past 75:
Joe Biden has announced the creation of a “Public Health Advisory Committee,” consisting of Democratic experts, to advise him about how to best grapple with the coronavirus during the campaign. The bioethicist Ezekiel Emanuel — a prime architect of Obamacare — is the most famous person on the committee. Why is that important? Emanuel made headlines a few years ago by writing in the Atlantic that he wants to die at age 75 — younger than Joe Biden is today — and he thinks we should want that too. From his piece:
[“]Here is a simple truth that many of us seem to resist: living too long is also a loss. It renders many of us, if not disabled, then faltering and declining, a state that may not be worse than death but is nonetheless deprived. It robs us of our creativity and ability to contribute to work, society, the world. It transforms how people experience us, relate to us, and, most important, remember us. We are no longer remembered as vibrant and engaged but as feeble, ineffectual, even pathetic.[”]
That’s a terrible attitude about the elderly, a denigrating “quality of life” judgmentalism that deems the value of the old as having less importance than that of younger people.
And here’s the irony. Who are most at risk of death or serious illness from the coronavirus? The very elderly Emanuel sees as having lives that are “feeble, ineffectual, even pathetic.”
The Democrats fashion themselves as the party of health and science. In reality, they are the party of death and unscientific denialism. They are the party that can look at a sonogram and say the visible baby isn’t a life. It is the party that can declare persons “dead” who are clearly still living. They are the party that doesn’t want to treat diseases and disability but seeks to erase them through eugenics.
Beware of handing your “health” over to such a party. It is less interested in health than in control — control, of course, on its political terms. The Democrats who pop up on the alarmist shows are curiously silent about Trump’s effective travel bans. Those don’t meet with their approval. Biden calls them “xenophobic.” But they get quite excited about the social engineering possibilities of the crisis.

Jake Tapper the other day was inveighing against the “selfish” who dare to leave their homes during this crisis. Would he ever refer to a Park Avenue feminist on her second or third abortion that way?
And where were all these quarantining liberals back in the days of the AIDS epidemic? Were they calling for the closing of bath houses and the like? Nope. Those, we were told, had to stay open and anyone who suggested otherwise was a “bigot.” We were told that public health should not dictates changes in lifestyle.
Normally, Democrats tell us that public health has to take a backseat to libertine lifestyles. Such is the importance of “freedom.” Drug dabbling? Oh, that’s no big deal, we are told. The Dems suddenly cease to be the party of “public health” and become advocates for drug decriminalization. The same liberals who are so risk-averse in this crisis, to the point where they advocate a national lockdown, say there is no risk in using drugs.
One suspects that behind all their self-righteous moralizing about “selfish” people who won’t shelter in place is nothing more than their own self-centeredness, their desire to control others according to their own whims and fears. Get an abortion, kill yourself, do “whatever you want with your body,” but stay away from me — that is the message of the party of death.
