Conserva-Cruise Update: $200 Coronavirus Bonus Credit!

Carnival Panorama3

With the media’s coronavirus hysteria running rampant, I know some folks are wondering if we’re still going forward with our scheduled 2020 Citizen Outreach Mexican Riviera Cruise on the brand-new Carnival Panorama on April 4-11.

YES!!!

According to my family physician, Dr. Vinnie Boombatz (Rodney Dangerfield’s doc), the coronavirus is unable to infect a person with high levels of Mexican tequila in their bloodstream.  So we’re covered!

Seriously, though.  As bad as the coronavirus is, the people who are most at risk – even if you get it – are old people in poor health.  You know…like Bernie Sanders and Joe Biden.

But I know some people are concerned, so I called Karen Weiner, our Cruise Director, and discussed the situation with her this afternoon.

As you’d expect, the cruise line is taking extra precautions to protect its passengers.  Anyone who’s traveled to a high-risk country within two weeks of the cruise will not be allowed onboard and anyone showing up with signs of being sick will be denied boarding, as well.

In addition, the crew is being trained on what to look for onboard, and additional sanitary precautions are being taken.  For additional information on this, click here.

Now here’s the good news…

If you’re already booked but want to cancel before March 31, Carnival will give you a 100% credit that you can use on another cruise over the next year once the scare is over.

However…

If you’re still going with us, Carnival is automatically giving an additional $200 ship credit per cabin as a thank you for sticking with them under the circumstances.

That’s a lot of onboard tequila!

AND…if you haven’t booked yet…and you book today (there are still a few cabins left) … you, too, will get the additional $200 ship credit.

Just call Karen toll-free at (800) 819-3902, extension 85960, by midnight tonight and let her know you’re with Chuck Muth and Citizen Outreach.

Lastly…

One of the highlights last year was our day trip to a beach resort in Puerto Vallarta – except for my son conking himself in the head with a boogie board and having to go to the local hospital for an MRI – which almost made us miss getting back on the ship in time.

So we’re going to do another beach excursion this year – but this time we’re gonna do it on Tuesday in Mazatlán instead, and sandwich it between Cabo and PV.

Figure the kids could use a beach day to get over their Cabo hangover from Monday and then be ready to mount up again in PV on Wednesday!

And you can use your bonus $200 ship credit to pay for it.

Oh, and don’t forget to meet us in the Piano Bar on Sunday night to celebrate the 20th anniversary of my 41st birthday.  No gifts allowed, but if the spirit moves you to buy me a margarita…

We’re now exactly four short weeks away from the best Conserva-Cruise ever!  Coronavirus schmeronavirus.

If you haven’t checked in and gotten your boarding passes yet, do it this weekend before you forget.
