Help Save Maryland - ACTION ALERT- Despite Chinese Coronavirus Panic Annapolis Pushes Sanctuary Votes
Our friends at the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) have kindly provided the information below. We need your immediate action to stop our lawless representatives in Annapolis from pushing through two Senate bills which would:
1- Disallow law enforcement officials and agencies to contract with private detention companies to hold illegal alien criminals (SB 850) and
2- Provide immunity for government officials for refusing to provide information to federal and state officials regarding an individual's immigration status (SB 901).
What Chutzpah! (Yiddish for "nerve"). In the middle of the Chinese Cornavirus Panic this is what Annapolis thinks is important??
Our legislators should Help Save Maryland from criminal illegal aliens who have no moral or legal right to be in our state.
The Maryland Senate Judiciary Committee will vote tomorrow (Friday) on Senate Bills (SB) 850 and 901 which put the safety of criminal aliens above the safety of citizens and legal immigrants.
The Senate Judiciary Committee wants to make it harder for law enforcement officers and government officials to work with U.S. Customs and Immigration Enforcement (ICE). Please contact your senator right away and urge him or her to oppose SB 850 and 901.
It is more important this year than ever to take action. The sanctuary bills under consideration would make it extremely difficult for state and local law enforcement to cooperate with federal immigration officials and would allow criminal aliens, even those convicted of the most serious crimes, to evade immigration enforcement.
It is shocking that only one month after two more 11-year old girls were raped by illegal aliens in Montgomery County, the Senate Judiciary Committee would even consider such reckless and dangerous legislation to make Maryland a Sanctuary.
Please email your Senator right away to make sure Maryland does not become a sanctuary state!
Ask him/her to oppose SB 850 and 901. Tell him/her that sanctuary policies:
- Threaten public safety;
- Are costly;
- Conflict with federal law; and
- Are unfair to legal immigrants.
