UNION BOSSES BUSTED AGAIN!

National Right to Work Foundation

Dear Conservatives,

We just caught Big Labor trying to violate workers' rights and won... again.

You see, California math professor Michael McCain wanted to exercise his rights under the Foundation-won Janus v. AFSCME Supreme Court decision, and stop funding the activities of American Federation of Teachers (AFT) union bosses.

But rather than respect his rights, union officials claimed he was blocked from exercising his First Amendment rights by the union's "window period" policy that blocks workers from stopping dues payments outside of just a few days each year.

So McCain, with free legal aid from your Foundation, filed a class action lawsuit.

Only then, after a protracted delay, did AFT union bosses back down and let the math professor and his coworkers exercise their Janus rights.

This case is just the latest incident of union moguls trying to trap workers through coercive "window period" schemes.

Again and again, Foundation staff attorneys have come to the aid of workers across the country victimized by exactly this type of scheme.

Obviously union bigwigs think they can get away with it.

And chances are they would unless Foundation staff attorneys came to the defense of individuals like Professor McCain.

But your Foundation has dozens of cases currently pending in court challenging other unlawful "window periods" and other similar schemes.

You see, this is all part of Big Labor's strategy of delay and obstruction.

Union tyrants don't intend to let millions of public employees exercise their right to choose whether to pay union dues or fees.

Instead, Big Labor bosses are creating barriers to attempt to trap government workers in their forced dues ranks.

That's why it so important that our Foundation continues its vital work to protect the rights of workers.

But this is only possible with your ongoing generous support for the Foundation's work.

With your help, your Foundation will continue standing firm against Big Labor and their coercive tactics, whether unlawful "window period" schemes or otherwise.

Thank you for all that you do.

Sincerely,

Mark Mix, President
National Right to Work

P.S. Foundation staff attorneys have won a case for Professor Michael McCain and other educators in California and successfully challenged a union "window period" scheme designed to trap them in forced dues paying ranks.

Thanks to the precedent established under the Foundation-won Janus decision at the U.S. Supreme Court, your Foundation is pursuing dozens of other cases like this one to protect workers' First Amendment rights.

Will you please consider chipping in to support the work of your Foundation to challenge union boss schemes to block workers from exercising their Janus rights?
