Expert Says Democrats Will Soon Try to Expand Voting Rights for Illegals
According to Government Accountability Institute Director of Research Eric Eggers, Democrats already have plans in motion to expand voting rights for the millions of illegal aliens currently living in blue state America. In an interview with Breitbart News this week, Eggers noted the recent legislation in New York that opened up driver’s licenses to illegal immigrants. He said that this scheme – already adopted by California and other blue states – is a prelude to an unprecedented expansion of “rights” for migrants, including giving them access to the voting booth.
“This is the first step towards the expansion of a number of things that normalize the rights of illegal aliens,” Eggers told Breitbart. “It’s only a matter of time before we see the expansion of illegal alien voting in state elections and eventually the Left pushing for illegal alien voting in federal elections.”
It’s worth remembering that in March, House Democrats had an opportunity to go on the record to condemn illegal immigrant voting. Dismayed by recent moves in San Francisco to allow aliens the vote in school board election, Republicans proposed an addendum to an election reform bill that would have stated: “Allowing illegal immigrants the right to vote devalues the franchise and diminishes the voting power of United States citizens.”
All but six House Democrats voted down the resolution.
It’s also worth noting that in April of last year, California implemented a scheme in which everyone obtaining or renewing a driver’s license would be automatically registered to vote. This, of course, includes huge numbers of noncitizens. And while immigration activists and state Democrats have promised that the rules are very clear about the “undocumented” and how they are not allowed to vote, some Republicans have scoffed at the invisible barrier.
“Yes, illegal aliens are big rules followers,” said Ann Coulter upon hearing this news.
Besides, Coulter argued, it wasn’t as if illegal immigrants actually needed to go to the polls themselves. With the majority of California ballots being sent out by mail, the potential for fraud is massive.
“It’s not even the illegal aliens who need to go and vote. Don’t worry, they’ll be voted for. You just need them registered to vote,” Coulter said.
Automatic voter registration is a big thing for Democrats. Surely, they will soon roll it out in New York, where we will face the same situation. Combine these initiatives with the left’s zeal to abolish the Electoral College, and their plan for electoral dominance starts to become extremely clear. Maybe we should, uh, do something about it before it’s too late?
