The Harpazo (Catching Away) of the Bride of Christ
This is a Bible Study of the catching away of the bride of Christ, the harpazo. In short, it is a supernatural event that comes directly after the resurrection of the dead in Christ in the near future. After their resurrection, those who are still alive and in Christ are changed in the blink of an eye and are given their immortal bodies. Then both the resurrected and the changed are caught up together to meet the Lord in the air. The resurrection of the dead is central to the Christian faith as Paul explains in 1 Corinthians 15:12-24. There are many different perspectives in the church regarding this topic from the denial of it to the belief that it can come at any second.

(In fact, the very Greek term, harpoz, is employed in four of these references.9) Since Paul highlights that the mystery of the Church was his privilege to reveal in the New Testament,10 it is fashionable to assume that it would be futile to expect any references to the Rapture of the Church in the Old Testament. I do not believe in "once saved always saved". -- I do not believe that "all Christians will be worthy to go in the rapture". -- I believe in conditional security; that we must remain faithful to the end of our life, or the rapture. -- I believe that only some people who think they are Christians will be found worthy to go in the rapture. -- I believe that there is a set time for the rapture, but only the Father knows that time, not even the Son of God knows that time. -- I believe that the rapture is most likely to take place on the Feast of Trumpets (in a day or hour, no man knows), this does NOT disqualify imminence b/c we can anticipate the season. Our leaving indeed is imminent - we are closer today than yesterday. -- I believe that Matthew 24 teaches all about the rapture, in as many as 15 references to the rapture. -- I believe that two of the earliest Church Fathers, Clement and Polycarp, taught and believed in the pretribulation rapture.
