THE PATRIOT POST - ALEXANDER'S LETTER - 10/25/2018 A BANNER YEAR FOR LIBERTY

Hello,
At this time two years ago, I wrote to you in the midst of a contentious presidential election cycle — which resulted in the most significant election upset since Harry Truman defeated Thomas Dewey in 1948. And now as we approach the 2018 midterm election, I wonder if the so-called "blue wave" has been overstated, as it was in 2016.

The Trump administration’s "Make America Great Again" promise was much more than a campaign slogan.
In the two years since that contentious election, here is the short list of Republican achievements:
  • Two outstanding appointments to the Supreme Court, returning the balance of the court toward constitutional conservatism.
  • Major tax cuts resulting in more than 3.5 million new jobs and substantial increases in wages and median household income.
  • Enormous cuts in government regulations.
  • More than 3 million Americans are off of the food stamp rolls.
  • A return to an America First foreign policy and trade relations.
  • An economy now ranked as the world's "most competitive."
That notwithstanding, the Democrats and their Leftmedia publicists are vigorously endeavoring to "divide and conquer" Trump's agenda — an agenda that is wholly antithetical to their statist agenda — mostly by way of diversion, obstruction and deception. The collusion between the Democrat Party and its corrupt mainstream media outlets — the Demo/MSM propaganda machine — remains the most significant threat to Liberty, peace and prosperity.
To counter that threat, back in 1996 when the American people were duped into a second term for the Clinton regime, our team launched The Patriot Post. The Internet was a largely uncharted medium, but we believed it would be, long term, the most effective medium to reach the largest number of grassroots Americans with a timeless and uniting message of Liberty. Today, The Patriot Post is the oldest news, policy and opinion digest on the Web, and a highly acclaimed touchstone of Liberty for Americans from all walks of life.
We certainly didn't attain that status on our own, however. When others observed that he was a "great communicator," my mentor, Ronald Reagan, said humbly, "I communicated great things, and they didn't spring full bloom from my brow, they came from the heart of a great nation — from our experience, our wisdom, and our belief in the principles that have guided us for two centuries." Our success is the sole result of our steadfast devotion to and advocacy of "the principles that have guided us for two centuries."
The Patriot Post remains the most effective grassroots advocate "to Support and Defend" the unalienable Rights of Man outlined in our Declaration of Independence, and the Liberty and Rule of Law enshrined in our Constitution. Our mission is more important now than ever. Regardless of the midterm election results, we will remain on post defending Liberty until our last breath.
As you know, we don't occupy a shiny office building inside the DC Beltway, nor are we sustained by any political, special interest or parent organization. Nor do we accept advertising — as to not clutter our pages or your inbox with advertising, and in order to maintain independence from the editorial influence that is, inevitably, shaped by advertising revenue.
Our mission and operation budgets are funded solely by the generosity of American Patriots like you.
Your Patriot Post team endeavors tirelessly to honor our Forefathers' legacy of Liberty — in order to extend Liberty to the next generation. For their relentless pursuit of our mission, they put in long hours for modest compensation. However, like many of you, most of our editors and staff have families and households to support.
We humbly ask that you please support The Patriot Fund's 2018 Year-End Campaigntoday. We have only two months to raise more than half of our annual budget, and notably, we have not increased our budget in four years — practicing fiscal austerity! Yet we have increased our influence by reaching more "grasstops" gatekeepers across the nation who are force multipliers for Liberty.
Thank you for being vigilant and faithful in your support of Liberty. We're humbled to count you among the ranks of today's Patriots, and it's my great privilege to serve you as editor of The Patriot Post.
