Like the politicians behind BREXIT, he'e both harnessing and amplifying powerful emotions that tend to drive countries apart... isolationism and protectionism in the USA are not created by Trump... He is merely exploiting them... That makes Trump a big problem for big business... they were grateful for his strong support on two key priorities: tax cuts and deregulation...

Economists estimate that the tariffs imposed so far would knock no more than a tenth of a percent off the growth rate... his intent is to destroy the institutions of the liberal international order... WTO, UN, NATO, IMF, and the World Bank... It would be hard for them to function if the USA withdrew or declined to cooperate... The Clinton-Bush-Obama strategy of engagement has failed... Questions that should have been raised a long time ago are being brought forth now.... Progress in getting China to open its market to US goods has been painfully slow... higher percentages (of people) in most countries say that their county should protect its economy more strongly against foreign rivals... To many people, "protectionism" isn't a dirty word... a separate US ... would be a victory for Donald Trump...

Page 34: Trump in April instituted a policy of prosecuting all migrants who cross the border without papers... 382,000 people... detained at the southwestern border since October... 1.3 million Guatemalans living in the US... They sent back a record $8.3 Billion in remittances last year; equal to 11% of Guatemala's GDP... 2,000 minors were separated from their families as part of Trump's zero tolerance policy...
My comments:
4 monopolies exist in the USA high tech industry: Google as a search engine, MicroSoft as operating systems software, Amazon for internet retail, and Facebook for social media. MicroSoft has more cash on hand than the annual revenues of all companies in the USA except for the largest dozen of them. The annual revenues for Chevron were $134 Billion at number 13 on the Fortune 500. Wow. MicroSoft has more cash on hand than the total revenues of 99.99% of all companies. And those 4 companies control the information that we receive and information about us. Wow. Foreign countries are doing something about it, so why isn't the USA government? Because of the dollar contributions of each of those companies to politicians. And who do those political contributions help? Democrats.... those supposed champions of the little guy.
The real battle is between nationalists and globalists. Trump and nationalists all over the world are changing things... and isn't it interesting that Democrats take the side of globalists?
Tariffs? who suffers from a tariff war? Exporters. those countries with trade surpluses... not countries with trade deficits like the USA. The USA can be self sufficient, independent. It can provide for all of its own products internally. As seen with solar panels and washing machines for the last year, tariffs shut down imports to the USA so that now US manufacturers of solar panels and washing machines are flourishing.
America first? Make America great again? Globalists hate it. Google, Amazon, MicroSoft, and Facebook hate it. And so do Immelt, Buffett, Soros, Gates, Bezos, et al. So why are Democrats so for globalization? Money. Political contributions. Can you say Clinton Foundation?
2000 children were separated from their parents at the border. Half of those children are reunited. 1/4 were with fake parents. and 1/4 are still not united.... 500 children... out of 382,000 illegal immigrants.... 2/10ths of one percent are separated children. So why is so much attention being made to those 500 children and none about the 382,000? politics by the liberal media cartel.
Think about this: 1.3 illegal immigrants from Guatemala in the USA send enough cash back home to increase the country GDP by 11%. Wow! Do you think that the Guatemala government encourages it .. encourages them to cross illegally into the USA to send money back home? And what about Mexico and El Salvador and and and?
And those illegal immigrants take jobs from Americans. Oh, liberals will say that they are doing jobs that American citizens refuse to do, but that is not true. As can be seen with all those new workers who are joining the labor pool (600,000 who were removed from labor rolls left the bench in June to seek jobs) now that wages are increasing. That fact is that illegal immigrants keep wages low to a point that American citizens will not work. So illegal immigrants leak money from our economy, take jobs from American citizens, and keep wages lower. Yeah, American businesses love it, but it hurts American workers, especially Blacks, and it hurts the economy. $8.2 Billion just to Guatemala. How much in total to all countries that send illegal immigrants? 382,000 caught in just the last 6 months. How many got through?
