Syrian Air Defences Spread Out to Target U.S.as well as Israeli Overflights……..
February 16, 2018

Both the U.S. and Syria (plus pro-Iranian allies) are massing strength in the south and east for military clashes in the continuing confrontation.
Assad’s army with Hizballah and other pro-Iranian forces backed byRussia are massing for two objectives:

A major offensive to capture Daraa on Syria’s southern border with Jordan; and at the Deir ez-Zour region in the east for another attempt to cross the Euphrates from west to east.

US forces and allies are building up to ward off the two offensives.

This time, Syria has positioned its Russian anti-air weapons for targeting incoming air strikes by U.S. as well as Israeli airforce planes.

Syrian Foreign Minister Fayssal Mikdad [pictured below] articulated this threat when he said Wednesday, February 14: “Syria will down any warplane that launches an airstrike on the SAA [Syrian Arab Army].”
US military officials are cited by reliable military sources as estimating on Thursday that the combined Russian, Syrian, Iranian and Hizballah armymassing on the western bank of the Euphrates in the Deir ez-Zour region will make another attempt to transfer troops to the eastern bank.

They are expected to go for one of the oil or gas fields held by the U.S.-backed SDF (Syria Democratic Forces), which is composed mainly of Kurdish YPG militiamen.
Their particular targets are the CONICO gas facility and the al-Omar oil fields.
That’s in the east. In the south, the Syrian, pro-Iranian, Russian-backedcoalition is preparing to grab Daraa.
In both operations, they are determined to come off best after major defeats in the last few days.
As reported in the Israel Reports of the last few days, on the night of February 7, massive U.S. air and artillery strikes thwarted a Russian-assisted Syrian, Hizballah attempt to cross the Euphrates; and on February 10, after an Israeli F-16 jet was downed by a Syrian SA-17 air defence missile, Israeli war-planes bombed a dozen military positions in Syria.
They included air defence emplacements, but also struck the secret Iranian Revolutionary Guards command posts that were preparing the combined assault on Daraa.
Those preparations were resumed in the interim, with boosted protection against attacks from the air.
If this is not a massive war in the making then we don't know what is?

"Iran and Syria are Playing with fire"…….

It appears the cold war between Iran and Israel is heating up.
Last week, Iranian forces in southern Lebanon flew a drone into northern Israel. The Israelis shot it down.
The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) then launched air attacks on at least a dozen Iranian and Syrian targets, including the air base from which the drone flew.
The Iranians and Syrians were able to shoot down an Israeli F-16. Though the pilots ejected, one was seriously injured.
It was the first combat loss of an Israeli war-plane since 1982.
Last September, Israel destroyed a precision-missile factory the Iranians were building in Syria.

Description: Description: Description: Description: Description: Description: https://gallery.mailchimp.com/79e6764db7350b01b135169d8/images/698f3113-f1ae-4549-ae02-bb6900f490a7.jpg
They're building another one in Lebanon under the auspices of Hezbollah -- Iran's wholly-owned subsidiary terror organisation.
The Weekly Standard described Hezbollah's arsenal of 130,000 missiles as "an offensive arsenal bigger than that of all Western Europe." And they are all pointed East at Israel.
Netanyahu met with Putin a few months ago. He told him then that the presence of Iran's missile factory in Lebanon could cause war to break out in the region.
Israel is also determined that Iran will not be allowed to acquire nuclear weapons or solidify its military presence in Syria.
Netanyahu recently said, "We will not allow that regime (Iran) to entrench itself militarily in Syria, as it seeks to do, for the express purpose of eradicating our state."
After the drone incident and Israel's retaliation, Russia, Iran, and Syriareleased a joint statement saying that from now on there will be a "severe and serious" response to Israel's "terrorism."

Description: Description: Description: Description: Description: Description: https://gallery.mailchimp.com/79e6764db7350b01b135169d8/images/6b6f0c96-6eef-4745-a8d0-063600fc12f8.jpg
By calling Israel's defensive actions "terrorism," they can justify almost any response.
I doubt we will see any sort of major reversal of the present face-off. You see, Iran arrogantly views Syria as "belonging" to them.
In 2013, one of Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Kahmenei's closest advisors explained. Mehdi Taeb [pictured above] said, "Syria is our 35th province, and is a strategic province for us”.
“If the enemy attacks us and seeks to take Syria or Khuzestan (which is an actual Iranian province) our priority would be to keep Syria”.
“Because if we keep Syria, we can take back Khuzestan at a later date. But if we lose Syria, we would lose the capital Tehran."
Now, why does Taeb think Syria is so important to Iran? Because it shares a border with Israel.

Iranian leaders exhibit an irrational fixation on, and hatred for, Israel. Their speeches show a rage toward the Jews which has no basis in reason.
It's a mania and it infects all of their thoughts and plans.
That's why the Iranian army keeps moving its operations in Syria closer and closer to the border with Israel.
Last week, the Israeli army released a statement which warned that "Iran and Syria are playing with fire."
[And they are...the Bible says as much? Only this time it will be the Fire of God. -Ed]

With New Peace Plan In The Works -Trump Prepares To Pressure Israel….
17 February 2018

Description: Description: Description: Description: Description: Description: https://gallery.mailchimp.com/79e6764db7350b01b135169d8/images/a375631b-498a-4685-91c7-75257ecee5e5.jpg
In recent weeks, Donald Trump has repeatedly indicated that he intends to pressure Israel to make yet more concessions to the Palestinian Authority.
We wonder why pro-Israel voices have not been expressing concern about this development?
True, his rhetorical swipes at the P.A. have been a welcome change from the "see no evil" policy of his predecessor. The recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital and strong speeches of support for Israel at the U.N. have been encouraging.
These positive verbal and symbolic flourishes will not count for much, however, if the current administration returns to the old pressure tactics that were unfairly used against Israel for so many years.
We all remember the Trump-Netanyahu press conference a year ago, on February 15, 2017, when the president said: "I would like you to hold back on settlements for a little bit."
And just last week Trump was at it again, saying that any new Jewish settlements could impede the phantom ''Peace Process”.

Description: Description: Description: Description: Description: Description: https://gallery.mailchimp.com/79e6764db7350b01b135169d8/images/a03ce5ca-8eba-44af-84de-42c1360d66f1.jpg
Many of us wondered why. Jewish settlements in the historic Jewish homeland are peaceful, legal and deeply anchored in the Judeo-Christian heritage cherished by Israelis and Americans alike.
Not only that, but settlements have nothing to do with the Israeli-Arab conflict.
The Palestinians and other Arabs were waging war against Israel long before there were any settlements at all. They waged war before the Jewish state even existed.
The idea that "holding back" would promote peace is utter nonsense.
And what, exactly, did President Trump mean by "a little bit"? Weeks? Months? Years?
How long should basic Jewish rights be "held back" in order to appease a regime that glorifies terrorists, and incites hatred and violence against Jews?
Description: Description: Description: Description: Description: Description: https://gallery.mailchimp.com/79e6764db7350b01b135169d8/images/5001341f-3965-48dd-b2ae-c22447f9d21c.jpg
In recent weeks, there have been more worrisome signs. In a tweet onJanuary 2, the president wrote: "We have taken Jerusalem, the toughest part of the negotiation, off the table, but Israel, for that, would have had to pay more."
He used similar language when speaking to reporters in Davos on January 25: "I helped it because by taking it off the table--that was the toughest issue--and Israel will pay for that. You won one point and you'll give up some points later on in negotiations if it ever takes place."
Why in the world should Israel have to "pay" for the U.S. decision to recognise reality? The Trump administration simply did what previous presidents should have done.
And what's this about "giving up some points later on"? Ever since the signing of the Oslo accords in 1993, Israel has been giving up, and giving up, and giving up some more in its dealings with the Arab Palestinians.
Yet in an interview with Israel Hayom on February 9, President Trump said: "I think both sides will have to make hard compromises to reach a peace agreement."
Until now, only one side, Israel, has been making all the significant compromises. It should not be expected to give up even more.

Description: Description: Description: Description: Description: Description: https://gallery.mailchimp.com/79e6764db7350b01b135169d8/images/9d4efb63-f596-4884-b4ff-ca088e82c95e.jpg
In the midst of all these troubling hints comes a report (from the Axiosnews site) on February 1 that "The White House is considering presenting President Trump's Middle East peace plan even if the crisis with the Palestinian Authority continues and Palestinian President Abbas refuses to come to the negotiating table . . . "
Yet President Trump and other administration spokesmen have said repeatedly that the U.S. will support whatever solution the Israelis and the P.A. both want. If that's the case, then why should the U.S. present a plan of its own?
The last thing that's needed now is yet another American plan that will demand even more concessions from Israel in exchange for unenforceable Arab Palestinian promises.
Let's wait until the P.A. demonstrates, through deeds, that it is ready for peace. Let's wait until the P.A. outlaws and disarms terror groups, extradites terrorists to Israel and publicly recognising Israel's right to exist as a Jewish state.
Until then, any new U.S. plan is doomed to failure.

Sanhedrin and Temple Movement Issue Silver Half Shekel With Images of Trump and Cyrus…..

Silver half-shekel (Image courtesy of Mordechai Persoff)
Am the same who says of Cyrus, “He is My shepherd; He shall fulfill all My purposes! He shall say of Yerushalayim, ‘She shall be rebuilt,’ And to the Temple: ‘You shall be founded again.’” Isaiah 44:28
Many have seen the similarities between the Biblical King Cyrus and President Donald Trump.
In gratitude to Trump for recognising Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, the nascent Sanhedrin and the Mikdash (Temple) Educational Centre are minting a replica of the silver half-shekel Biblically mandated to be donated by every Jewish male to the Temple.
Rabbi Hillel Weiss, [pictured below] Chairman of the Mikdash & Tsion Association that initiates the Temple re-enactments and represents all the Temple movements, explained that the initial motivation for the putting the image of the US president on the coin was in gratitude for his support of Israel.
Gratitude is an important and holy trait,” Rabbi Weiss, who is also spokesman of the nascent Sanhedrin, said. “He did a great and historical deed that the Jewish People are grateful for.”
An image of President Trump will be engraved alongside an image of the ancient Persian King Cyrus, who facilitated the building of the Second Temple that ended the Babylonian Exile in 538 BCE.

An inscription commemorating Lord Arthur Balfour, the British Foreign Secretary who issued what was dubbed the “Balfour Declaration” that called for establishing a Jewish homeland in what was then the British Mandate of Palestine, will also appear on the face of the coin.
The reverse side of the coin will be engraved with an image of the Temple.
Rabbi Weiss stressed that Trump’s goals will come to fruition only if they are geared towards rebuilding the Jewish Temple.
Cyrus and Balfour, non-Jews who played an enormously important role in Jewish history fell short and their political success suffered as a result,” Rabbi Weiss said.
Trump’s political agenda can only succeed if it is focused on building the Third Temple on the place that God chose: the Temple Mount. He must not advance any two-state solution or this will lead to his downfall.

Vatican-Produced Pope Francis Documentary Hits Theatres in May….
15 February 2018

Wim Wender’s [pictured below] “Pope Francis – A Man of His Word” will open in domestic theatres on May 18, 2018, Focus Featuresannounced Wednesday.
Written and directed by three-time Academy Award nominee Wender, the documentary is a rare co-production with the Vatican itself.
It features behind-the-scenes footage and the Pope, a.k.a. the False Prophet, addresses his audience directly while answering questions about life, death, social justice and immigration, among other topics.
The film shows the pope during many journeys around the world, including footage of him speaking at the United Nations, addressing the Congress of the United States, and he also speaks to prisoners in correctional facilities as well as refugees in Mediterranean areas.

In it, he also travels to the Holy Land, Africa, South America and Asia.
Universal Pictures International will distribute the documentary internationally.
The announcement today coincided with Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent for Roman Catholics and some deluded Christians, around the world.
This Jesuit pontiff has done more to thrust his heretical religion on to the world stage since Pope Innocent III [1198-1216] claimed supremacy over all of Europe's kings, and supreme authority over the world.
Now he is to star in a movie lauding his Marxist ideology as he travels the globe in flamboyant luxury as he speaks of his concern for the poor - and receives the adulation of millions as God's sole representative on earth.
Another sign of the perilous times in which we live?

Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee. For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle. Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle. And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west. But it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD. And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one. Zechariah14 [excerpted]
