HOSEA 4:6 PROJECT
"My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children." [1]

Oct 6, 2017, Lyle J. Rapacki, Ph.D.* --There are words for God I just don’t have yet.  You see…my brain has not yet reached a point where it can adequately form a thought to describe the greatness of my God.  And my lungs have not yet developed sufficiently to release enough breath of exhilaration to breathe out the greatness of His love.  And my voice is so inhibited, restrained by human limits that it’s hard to send praise upward.  Try as I might if there is word for The Holy God, the One and only, then I don’t really have that word.  My God…His grace is remarkable, His mercies are innumerable, and His strength is impenetrable.  He is honorable, accountable, and favorable.  He is unsearchable yet knowable; indefinable yet approachable; indescribable, yet personal.  He is beyond comprehension and further than imagination, constant through generations, King of every Nation.  But if there are sufficient words to describe Him than I don’t have them.

You see…my words are few, and to try and capture with words the One and True God then my words will not do, but I use my words to the best as an expression; an expression of worship to a Savior, a Savior who is both worthy and deserving of my praise and devotion so I use words.

My heart is so the Lord’s so bless His Name forever.  He has won my heart, and captured my mind, and has bound them both together in Him.  He has defeated me in my rebellion.  Conquered me in my sin.  He has welcomed me into His presence; completely invited me in.  He has made Himself the object of my sight.   Flooded me with His mercies in the morning, drown me with His grace at night, and poured out His love for me when I treat Him unlovable.  But if there were words for Him, I don’t have them.

What I do have is GOOD NEWS!
For my God knew that man-made words would never do, but man-made words would be used to point to the truth, so He sent His only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ, The Word, living proof to this broken world.  He, Jesus, is the image of the invisible God; the first-born of all creation, through by Him all things were created giving nothingness formation.  And by His Word all things could be saved by the power in His Name.  For He is before all things.  And over all things He reigns.  Holy is His Name.  I praise Him for His light; the way He persevered in His strife, the humble Son of God becoming the perfect sacrifice.  Praise Him for His death.  That He willingly stood in my place.  That He lovingly endured the grave.  That He bowed our enemy, and on the third day rose in victory!

He is everything that was promised.  He is the Risen King of kings and Lord of lords.  Lift your voices and sing for one day He will return for us and we will finally be united with the King for all eternity!

So it’s not just words I try and proclaim for my words point to The Word, and The Word has a name.  Hope has a name.  Healing has a name.  Forgiveness has a name.  Joy has a name.  Peace has a name.  Love has a name, and that name is Jesus Christ.

Praise His Name forever, and ever, and ever, and ever!!
