THE TEA PARTY 12/02/2014

Dear Patriot, We have big plans in the works to make sure the new Republican controlled Congress understands that those of us who made their new majority possible expect them to honor the promises made to stop the abuse of power by the president and put an end to the corruption and cronyism so rampant in our political system. We are tired of empty promises to represent the people only to have those elected ignore the people in favor of the system. The Tea Party's success comes from ordinary Americans demanding a voice in Washington DC and no voice has been louder or more effective than ours. We may be a fly in the ointment of politics as usual, which is exactly why our work is so critical at this moment in history. Up to the arrival in 2009 of the largest grassroots movement in our history, American voters had been asleep at the wheel, believing that those we elected would care more for our nation's people than their own self interest. We voted but aside from that, we on the conservative side rarely spoke up in mass. This allowed special interest groups, public sector unions and the progressive left to establish a beachhead in our nation's capitol to the demise of our Constitutional republic. Times have changed and we are no longer asleep. We knew that the fight would be long and tiring but we have kept going as those in power tried to destroy our resolve to the point of spending over $100 million in the last election to defeat our candidates. They may have won a few elections but if they think we are going to give up, they are sadly mistaken. The last election may be over but the fight continues. The immediate battle is to make them listen to us instead of the K Street lobbies. Your continued support will allow us to keep our team at the tip of the spear and your voice to heard loud and clear on Capitol Hill.
