1. Here's How Barack Obama and Jonathan Gruber Deceived Americans Through ObamaCare - by Jason Pye
President Barack Obama sought to further distance the White House
from Jonathan Gruber, the MIT professor who helped craft ObamaCare.
Current and former White House and administration officials as well as
Democratic leaders in Congress have tried downplay Gruber's role in
light of at least six videos that have surfaced in the last several
days.
Gruber's comments about the deceitful process by which ObamaCare was
concocted by himself and the administration as well as his opinions on
the intelligence of American voters have been a pretty huge PR problem
for the White House, which, last week, told a leftist blog that the MIT
economist "did not work in the White House or play the same role in
developing the Affordable Care Act." Read more here...
2. Gruber Says Seniors Need Less Choice in Health Care - by Logan Albright
You know what they say you should do when you’re stuck in a hole:
stop digging. This is advice that could well have been heeded by
ObamaCare Architect Jonathan Gruber, whose repeated comments about the
stupidity of the American public and the need to deceive them in order
to pass ObamaCare continue to make headline, though not the good kind
like you want.
The latest examples comes from a series of presentation slides in
which Gruber asserts that seniors “do a terrible job at choosing” their
health insurance plans, as a rationale for why such choice should be
denied to them. “We have experimented with choice in public insurance:
Medicare Part D,” Gruber said, but argued that such choice should not be
offered because seniors choose badly. Read more here...

4. Will We Finally Get a Vote on Audit the Fed in the Senate? - by Julie Borowski
Last week, Republicans won control over the Senate in the mid-term
elections. I’m personally glad that Harry Reid is no longer Senate
Majority Leader but I’m still skeptical on whether Republican leadership
will be serious about cutting spending. I hope that they prove me
wrong.
However, one thing that I am excited about is a possible vote on auditing the Federal Reserve in the Senate. Read more here...
5. VA Judge: Law Enforcement Can Compel Fingerprint to Unlock Cell Phone - by Tommy Creegan
An interesting ruling regarding cell phone privacy has emerged from a
Virginia Circuit Court. Judge Steven Frucci of Virginia’s 2nd Judicial
Circuit has ruled that law enforcement can compel someone to unlock his
cellphone by fingerprint identification, but cannot compel one to
divulge his passcode in order to unlock the device. Read more here...
6. Voters Reject Identity Politics in Midterms - by Deneen Borelli
One of the most encouraging outcomes from the midterm elections was the failure of identity politics.
Despite the best attempts by Democrats to drive blacks and women to
the polls with outrageous claims about Republican candidates, their
desperate gambit failed.
For example, the race-baiting and accusations of sexism campaign
message points from Senator Mary Landrieu (D-LA) were insufficient for
her to get fifty percent of the vote. Now she must face challenger
Representative Bill Cassidy (R-LA) in a runoff race that will be decided
December 6. Read more here...
