Hamas resumes firing rockets as cease-fire ends
With the 72-hour cease-fire drawing to an end at 8:00 a.m. on Friday,
Hamas renewed its rocket fire on Israel after declaring in Cairo that it
will not agree to extend the Egyptian-mediated ceasefire. At exactly 8:00 a.m., three rockets were fired at the city and surrounding areas.

Iraqi and Kurdish officials welcome US airdrops
Baghdad and Iraqi Kurdish officials welcomed President Barack Obama's
decision to authorize U.S. airstrikes if necessary and airdrop
humanitarian aid into northern Iraq to counter advancing Sunni militants
and the threat they pose to Americans as well as Iraqi civilians.

25 pct of households 'just getting by'
A quarter of U.S. households say they're "just getting by" financially, a
survey by the Federal Reserve shows. The Fed issued the first-time
