GOP USA MIDDAY REPORT 05/06/2014

Ban the Nanny State
image It's time to ban bans. We've reached a nationwide breaking point where big government, aka "The Nanny State," has overstepped its bounds as elected officials engage in mass stripping of our collective freedoms and consumer choice. Fairfax, Va., is currently seeking to ban gatherings in private homes. Yes, you read that right.

Politics of Division by Democrats Won't Stop
image Suddenly we can't seem to get race out of the news. Congressman Paul Ryan's tour around America's cities, trying to get a handle on America's persistent problems with poverty, turns into a racial incident, as a member of the Congressional Black Caucus calls remarks he made in a radio interview "a thinly veiled racial attack that cannot be tolerated."

Crushing dissent in the name of tolerance
image If you want to know where the left is taking the country, a quick trip to the Southern Poverty Law Center's website is instructive. There you will find a "hate map," on which the precise locations of reputable Christian organizations are listed, along with skinheads, Nazis and other actually disreputable groups.

Why you should be worried about net neutrality

Infiltration of the U.S. Government, Pt. II
image Vladimir Putin’s aggression in Ukraine has apparently surprised a lot of people who thought the Cold War was over, and that Russia had been integrated into the “community of nations.” In 2012, President Obama pushed through Permanent Normal Trade Relations for Russia, giving Putin access to billions of dollars of Western capital.

Hash oil explosions rise with legalized marijuana
image The opening months of Colorado's first-in-the-nation recreational marijuana industry have seen a rise in fiery explosions and injuries as pot users try to make the drug's intoxicating oil in crude home-based laboratories.

Monument to Corruption
image There might be no more fitting monument for Barack Obama's presidency than a presidential library and museum built in Chicago by close cronies with $100 million that the notoriously corrupt, Democrat-controlled government of flat-broke Illinois doesn't have. But that doesn't mean it's a good idea.

Protestors Take Stand Against American Flag Ban
image Live Oak High School in Morgan Hill, CA was in the news again as protestors sought to remind people that free speech is a basic American right. The school has banned the wearing of American flag t-shirts on the Mexican holiday of Cinco de Mayo, and the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals agreed with the ridiculous action.
