SEN HARRY REID IS EVEN MORE INSANE WITH POWER THAN WE FIRST THOUGHT

Dear Conservatives,
Are union-label U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and Big Labor at it again?

After months of threats, Reid finally pulled the "nuclear option" last November and gutted the filibuster, a key tool that protects minority rights in the U.S. Senate.

At the time, Reid promised his rule change only applied to nominations to the executive branch and lower federal courts, but not to U.S. Supreme Court nominations or legislation.

I warned then it wouldn't take long before the threats picked back up to extend Reid's power grab even further.

Now I'm afraid that day could be just around the corner.

"Reid is not afraid to go further," a top Democrat staffer recently told political newspaper The Hill.

And cheering Reid on are powerful union bosses.

"We'll continue to raise the question about procedural issues around the filibuster," Communications Workers of America (CWA) union boss George Kohl warned.

That's because Big Labor's high command remembers that citizens like you have relied on the filibuster time and again to stop their dangerous legislation, including:

*** The Card Check Forced Unionism Bill, which would eliminate secret-ballot elections in union organizing campaigns;
*** The Police and Firefighter Monopoly Bargaining Bill that could force union monopoly bargaining on state and local police and firefighters;
*** Repeal of Section 14(b) of the Taft-Hartley Act, wiping out all state Right to Work laws at once.
Not only are union bosses advocating the total destruction of the filibuster now, they're gearing up for another billion-dollar political spending blitz for this fall's elections.

You see, if their billion-dollar warchest succeeds in keeping Harry Reid in control of the Senate, and buys them just a handful more votes in the U.S. House, there could be nothing stopping their radical political agenda.

More job-killing regulation. Higher taxes. More debt.

Not to mention Big Labor's wishlist expanding their power over American workers and the entire economy.

Make no mistake: Your rights as grassroots citizens were significantly weakened when Reid pulled the "nuclear option" last year.

And I'm afraid Reid and his Big Labor pals aren't finished yet.

We must stay on high alert.

Sincerely,

Mark Mix
