Democrat Alex Sink Wants Immigrants To Clean Rooms and Plant Flowers
Here again is another example of media bias. Very few have bothered to report on Alex Sink, the Democrats’ nominee for Congress in Florida, saying what she said.

In explaining the need for immigration reform, Alex Sink — a seasoned political veteran mind you — actually said we need more immigrants to clean hotel rooms and landscape yards.

If a Republican said this, the press corps would be denouncing the candidate as a racist. But they’ve chosen to give Alex Sink a pass. Instead of giving us your tired and poor yearning to breath free, Alex Sink wants immigrants to breathe toilet bowl cleaner and Miracle Gro. . . . please click here for the rest of the post

Hey! Twenty three Democratic Senators can do minimum wage math!
Shocking. Why have they hidden their light under a bushel for all these years? . . . please click here for the rest of the post

Does President Obama Think Sandwiches & Taxes are the Same Thing?
This can’t go unanswered. Last week Kentucky Senatorial candidate Matt Bevin got in hot water for some comments he made about gay marriage.

In spite of Bevin clearly making a point about abuse of a system for tax benefits, many, even some on our side, chose to view it as a comparison between homosexuality and incest. His argument was a perfect illustration of how the slippery slope operates but was entirely limited to a concern about how loosely defining a beneficial tax status could result in abuse and manipulation of that status.  . . . please click here for the rest of the post

Cory Gardner In For Senate, Ken Buck Switches To House Run
News broke yesterday afternoon of a rumor that Rep. Cory Gardner of Colorado’s 4th Congressional District would not seek reelection for his House seat and would instead enter the U.S. Senate race to challenge Mark Udall in November. We won’t bury the lede on this, this isn’t just a rumor. It’s a fact. Additionally, Ken Buck will exit the Senate race, endorse Gardner, and then run for the 4th Congressional District himself. . . . please click here for the rest of the post

Ends, and means
“The ends justify the means” is one of the most poisonous ideas of the modern era.  I limit this assessment to the modern era because prior to that, means tended to justify themselves.  The advent of democracy obliged Ruling Class types across the Western world to do a bit better than “because I said so” to secure obedience from their subjects.  The end result is, if anything, proving to even more unpleasantly mercurial than old-school monarchy, because crusades for the “greater good” last longer and reach further than building imperial fortunes on the backs of the peasantry. . . . please click here for the rest of the post
