Fellow Conservatives:
Why does the Republican Establishment always attack and abandon conservative candidates rather than moderate ones?
The fact is conservative candidates actually stand for something and they give voters a real choice between liberty and tyranny. They're not only more principled, they're more electable too.
But this fact hasn't stopped the Republican Establishment from attacking and abandoning Todd Akin (R-MO), the conservative nominee for U.S. Senate in Missouri.
This elevated the controversy, dried up Akin's fundraising, and made it even harder for him to recover. Make no mistake, the establishment would never have done this to a moderate candidate. Never.
Republicans in Washington say they want to elect as many Republicans as possible, but the truth is they don't give a rip about elections or what voters really want. If they did, they wouldn't have tried to toss out the will of Missouri voters for their own.
And if the Establishment really cared about electing Republicans, they would support Todd Akin now that it's clear he's the Republican candidate on the ballot, the race is still competitive, and the outcome could decide control of the Senate.
But no, they won't lift a finger. They're ignoring the polls that show Akin within 6 points and stubbornly refusing to support him. They're conceding the race to the liberal incumbent, Senator Claire McCaskill (D-MO).
Why? Because Todd Akin is a conservative and if he wins, he won't owe them anything. In fact, he will likely be a thorn in their side when they sell out conservatives and try to work with Democrats to raise the debt limit again and pass more bailouts.
If McCaskill is re-elected, she will continue to support the massive spending, bailouts, and debt that are destroying our country.
So there are only two options in this race now -- Todd Akin or Claire McCaskill.
Conservative leaders like Newt Gingrich, Rick Santorum, and Jim DeMint have lined up behind Todd Akin, but the Republican Establishment would rather see a liberal Democrat get re-elected than admit they made a mistake.
That is why the grassroots must rise up and support his campaign.
It doesn't matter how much you contribute, just that you give something. If we all work together, we can send another true conservative to the U.S. Senate.
Thank you for having the courage to stand up for conservative principles.
Respectfully,
