NEW REPORT FINDS AZ HAS REVERSED THE FLOW OF ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS
In addition to the decline in the illegal immigrant population, Arizona “realized significant savings in state costs, a drop in the number of families living in poverty, and a decline in the violent crime rate.”
As far as numbers are concerned, between 2008 and 2009, Arizona’s illegal immigrant population declines by about 100,000 or about 18 percent compared to the national average decline of 8 percent. Arizona also saved $97 million because of a 24.4 percent decline in Limited English Proficient students enrolled in the public school system.
