Dear Friends,
This was another busy week in Washington. I spoke on the House floor about the Department of Labor's Overtime Rule and how this regulation could result in lost hours, lost benefits and lost jobs.
I voted to help pass the Iranian Leadership Asset Transparency Act (H.R. 5461) to ensure Iran doesn’t funnel money to terrorists and put American lives in jeopardy. I also voted for H.R. 5931, the Prohibiting Future Ransom Payments to Iran Act to stop the administration from shuttling millions of dollars’ worth of ransom payments to murderous regimes.
Students from the Jobs for America's Graduates organization invited me to join a panel that traveled to Washington from North Las Vegas to a larger leadership conference to discuss ways we can create more job opportunities for Nevada’s scholars.
