Dr. Mervyn Hardinge, Dean of Loma Linda Univ. School of Public Health,
noted 40 years ago, "They are starting to call medical care healthcare!"

Now nearly everyone thinks of "healthcare" as what they get at the doctor's office.

It usually involves a prescription to relieve symptoms brought on by poor choices

because what we put in our mouths--eating, drinking or smoking, is the real issue

in healthcare.

Because pharmaceuticals do not address this underlying cause of dis-ease,

we have a phony healthcare system that is understandably failing us and US.

And things are going from bad to worse as congress gets millions for their

re-election campaigns from drug companies who get from congress approval

for Obamacare that means millions can eat, drink, smoke as they please

while someone else pays for their prescriptions, surgery and intensive care.

WE MUST EMULATE BULGARIA AND RECONIZE THE THREATS OF ISLAM

Dozens of law enforcement agencies are taking part in a manhunt in southern Roseville after an officer was shot shortly after 3 p.m. Friday.

At 3:09 p.m., Roseville dispatch called surrounding agencies to report an that a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer was shot, said Lisa Bowman, a spokeswoman for the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department.

The incident took place near 631 Windsor Drive, said Brian Jacobson, a spokesman for the city of Roseville. He said various agencies were involved in a manhunt for a suspect.

Bowman said deputies were told to behave as if the suspect is still armed.

"Whenever any agency has an officer involved-shooting, everybody rolls," Bowman said.

Folks, this is not rocket science. It isn't so much the criminals. We used to control crime or at least make a decent effort, and the criminals knew it and knew their boundaries. I am increasingly convinced that it is Washington policies that cynically kill these law enforcers, just as they did with Fast and Furious. The hard left and their friends on the right in Congress and the Senate and the WH all ensure these illegal aliens that they have a RIGHT to enter our country in violation of our laws, steal our jobs, drive without licences, drink and drive and along with this comes the tacit understanding that the law is there to be broken and no one is watching. ALL laws are quickly losing their stopping power and the day is nigh that anarchy will reign in the streets.

The thing is, when one law is ignored and not enforced, they all fall like dominoes.

This talk about amnesty will eventually have to come to an end, or the USA will come to an end. But there seems to be no end in sight. Likewise, the megabanks have laws and regulations to heed as well but they also ignore them and the oversight agencies look the other way until the public is forced to bail them out or the Fed prints us further into a hole. Somehow we have become trapped in a Kafka novel.

The current framework for a so-called “deal” is lose-lose. Republicans will agree to let Democrats raise taxes if Democrats will agree to let Republicans cut entitlements. Both sides are talking about how Washington can impose pain on the American people and nobody is talking about fundamentally rethinking Washington.

Sebelius: In the Line of Fire

If there's one thing Americans have learned, it's that the ObamaCare rollout wasn't a technological hiccup, bug, or snafu. It wasn't a "glitch," any more than the Titanic was a glitch. This was a system-wide meltdown -- taking the federal government's reputation for incompetence to new heights.

When Fox News polled voters this week, 60% said ObamaCare's implementation is a joke (one that's unfortunately on us). According to the survey, a majority of the people used negative words to describe the law -- another major failure of the administration, which spent $53 million of your hard-earned dollars just trying to improve ObamaCare's image. Overall, more voters want to "get rid of" the President's health care policy (51%) than keep it in place (41%). And considering media's growing disgust with Healthcare.gov, those numbers aren't likely to improve anytime soon.

Yesterday, Americans got a front row seat into HHS's dysfunction, as ObamaCare's contractors spent close to five hours detailing the half-billion dollar bomb of a website. To a man, they all insisted Health and Human Services (HHS) knew the system was full of flaws and plowed ahead anyway. "We informed [the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services] that more testing was necessary... [and that] pieces of the system that we had tested had issues," said Andrew Slavitt. The pace was so rushed, another testified, that "due diligence" didn't begin "until the last two weeks of September" -- maybe later.
