1. A Look at @ChuckTodd and Conspiratorial Media Incest

I got a great laugh out of this Chuck Todd near meltdown on Meet the Depressed the other day. His voice quivered in moral outrage over Jack Welch suggesting something was up with the unemployment numbers last Friday. Chuck Todd proclaimed, “What we’re doing, we’re corroding trust in our government in a way, and one time responsible people are doing to control it. And the idea that Donald Trump and Jack Welch, rich people with crazy conspiracy, can get traction on this, is a bad trend.”

He really does not get it. Chuck Todd reflects most of the media not getting it. As ratings decline, newspaper fold, and they all scream about how biased Fox News is, they do not get it.  . . . please click here for the rest of the post →

Did you know that contaminated water DOES NOT have to be boiled to be considered safe enough to drink?

Sure, it's easier to determine that bad bacterias are dead by waiting for the water to boil, but 99% of all biological contaminates in water are destroyed in about 5 minutes at 149 degrees Fahrenheit, well before the water starts to boil.

It takes twice as much energy to get water from 200 degrees to 212 degrees (boiling point) than it does to get the water from freezing to 200 degrees. So if you're running low on firewood and you're in a hurry, there is no reason to waste precious minutes waiting for your water to boil.

Dear Conservatives,

According to recent news reports, after some of his cronies in the U.S. House urged their colleagues to defeat Ron Paul's Audit the Fed Bill, Ben Bernanke sent them personal "letters of gratitude" for opposing an audit of the Federal Reserve. 

Thanks to your hard work, their efforts failed, and Audit the Fed passed the House by an overwhelming majority. 

But that didn't stop Ben Bernanke from thanking his cronies for their "willingness to stand up for the independence of the Federal Reserve." 

Of course, you and I could thank Ben Bernanke and his allies for many things, including: 

* The housing crisis and the resulting chaos of an economic bubble created by centrally planned interest rates and money manipulation;
