Medicare's own actuary has reported that 50% of all Medicare Advantage users will lose their coverage within 5 years, thanks to the millions of dollars cut from Medicare to pay for ObamaCare – more than one half billion dollars in all!

Since the beginning, we have all suspected that the grand and glorious ObamaCare plan would be implemented on the back of broken promises to seniors. Now, after the bill has been signed and we are having to pony up and pay the "pied piper," the facts supporting our suspicions continue to come to light.
In addition to 50% of seniors who will lose their Medicare Advantage coverage within the next 5 years, it turns out that at the outset, ObamaCare is to be funded in part by stripping Medicare of over $530 million.

After all, only stupid people oppose nationalized healthcare, $15 trillion in debt, and 8.6% unemployment. 
If you are as offended and disgusted by this absurd headline as we are, please use our form to contact Newsweek’s advertisers and let them know that you will not tolerate being called “dumb” because you disagree with President Obama’s left-wing policies.
No wonder no one reads this rag. Could this be the final straw for a “national” magazine whose readership is dwindling to a handful of leftists?

Nevada Needs More Voices for More School Choices

The purpose of National School Choice Week, January 22-28, is to “to shine a spotlight on the need for effective education options for all children.”  And nowhere is such exposure needed more than right here in Nevada.

Let’s first consider the latest failed experiment our government has performed on our nation’s children in its ongoing efforts to “fix” education – joining other failed fads such as new math, whole language, multiculturalism, block scheduling, cooperative learning and…I absolutely love this one…“brain-based teaching” (duh).

“For decades, the prevailing wisdom in education was that high self-esteem would lead to high achievement,” reported the Washington Post on January 15.  “The theory led to an avalanche of daily affirmations, awards ceremonies and attendance certificates - but few, if any, academic gains.  Now, an increasing number of teachers are weaning themselves from what some call empty praise.”
