Court fight over recess appointments 'almost certain,' Chamber says

The recess appointments President Obama announced Wednesday are “almost certain” to be challenged in court, according to a top official with the nation’s largest business lobby. 
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce has not decided whether it will file a legal challenge to the appointments, according to David Hirschmann, who heads the Chamber’s Center for Capital Markets Competitiveness. But he said he’s confident that Obama’s precedent-shattering move will land the administration in court.

HOLD SEIU RESPONSIBLE FOR MALFEASANCE AND DISBAND 9th CIRCUIT COURT OF APPEALS

Dear Conservatives,

Leave it to the union lawyers to deny the plain meaning of the English language.

Lawyers for the radical Service Employees International Union (SEIU) want the U.S. Supreme Court to believe that a "Political Fight-Back Fund" had nothing to do with politics.

Next week, the Supreme Court will hear oral arguments inKnox v. SEIU 1000, a class-action lawsuit brought by Foundation attorneys for eight California government workers, including two former union members, challenging a corrupt political fundraising scheme.

Ron Paul (Tex.) scored a close but disappointing third-place finish in a state where he had hoped to score a breakout victory. But he told his supporters “there’s nothing to be ashamed of” and urged them to “be ready and raring to move on to the next stop.” (My thoughts: First, the Ames Straw poll, which Bachmann won and drove Pawlenty out, means zero. Third, I think Romney will now be hard to stop, as the anti-Romney vote is divided, though larger. Fourth, all elections should be decided on the “Hare” system, where you vote “1” for you first choice, “2” for your second and so on. The lowest candidate is eliminated and his/her votes parceled out on second, third choice until someone has 50%, But who will fight for this? Debates matter; Perry came in with the race his to lose and he did in the debates, as he wasn’t ready for prime time, though he’s staying in. Fifth, observers say Huntsman has a more conservative record than Romney, but ran as a centrist. That doesn’t work in primaries in either party. Sixth, Santorum benefited by being the last anti-Romney to rise, but where does he go from here? The attack ads will be turned on him now. Seventh, voters say they hate negative campaigning, but reward it. Newt would have won a month ago, before the attack ads drove his numbers down. Eighth, the race is now Mitt, Rick and Newt. Paul cannot win the nomination and if he did, Republicans in the future [if there is a future that includes Republicans] would think of 1964 as a pretty good year. Competitors for the office of the presidency would have had a case only if they had brought it before the election, not after, they are told by the judges – although when litigation was filed before the Electoral College convened and voted in 2008, plaintiffs were told then by the Courts they would only have standing once the election was decided in a political outcome. Hey, just because Mitt Romney is supported by the big banks that stole your money in the form of "bailouts," that is NO reason not to vote for him, is it?

After all, the GOP top leadership says you should vote for Mitt. That should be enough. You know that neocons are your friends...

Besides, Mitt introduced Romenycare into MA, complete with the $50 abortion, and also ordered his JPs to perform gay marriages, claiming that the MA Supreme Court had tied his hands (or in other words, there is no separation of powers between executive and judicial branches, right? They are joined at the hip).

What could go wrong?
