I stopped attending church in the late 90's - I had been a regular attendee - finding a Bible TEACHING church each time I would move. I was very happy and LEARNING at the last church I attended until they transferred the preacher to another state and replaced him with a PABLUM preacher. The new guy was more interested in making people happy and with Social activities than preaching the word of God. I stayed for a few months and saw no improvement so I left - I tried to find another Bible teaching church but never found one so I stopped going and took to reading my bible at home and as the internet grew I found Preachers on line that were of the Hell Fire and Brimstone messages. IE: You MUST ask Christ into your heart and become Born Again or you SHALL spend eternity in the Lake of Fire. There is no denominational Doctrine that will gain you entrance to heaven - Christ Himself told us that He is the ONLY way to the Father.... not some priest or some ritual or type of clothing. When asked by His disciples how to pray He said, Our FATHER (not Mary or some other name or entity.) - We are to pray to OUR FATHER. I have found the prophecy messages by JD Farag, Branden Holthaus, Mark Correll totally in line with the Bible. David Jeremiah is another good preacher and his messages line up with Scripture. Even though Adrian Rogers has gone Home to Heaven his messages are recorded and played on line.
