An Impaired Speech

The commander in chief addressed the nation last night regarding Syria. The address had been planned to bolster support for a military strike against Bashar al-Assad's regime for its alleged use of chemical weapons against rebel fighters. But, thanks to Secretary of State John Kerry's gaffe resulting in yesterday's Russian proposal to "secure" and dismantle Syria's weapons, Obama's address ended up merging two speeches -- one pleading for congressional authorization for an imminent attack and another asking Congress to delay its vote until a diplomatic solution plays out.
As former Ronald Reagan speechwriter Peggy Noonan wrote, "It was a time filler: The White House had asked for the time and had to fill it."

In the last 10 years our weekly column has covered a wide range of issues affecting not only rural landowners but all Americans as well. Upon occasion we have turned our attention to the IRS and have written several articles about them. Now, perhaps because of those articles, the IRS has turned its attention on us with a vengeance. They are seeking an enormous penalty for what is purely a technical matter. We are fighting the penalty but in the end, they may "get" us anyway..........

How the Obama administration commemorates the anniversaries of 9/11 and Benghazi terrorist attack

Former Florida Governor Jeb Bush has zero respect for the four courageous Americans, including U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens, who lost their lives in a terrorist attack in Benghazi, Libya, one year ago tomorrow.

Otherwise, he wouldn’t be the one to honor former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton with this year’s Liberty Medal from the National Constitution Center, today, on the eve of the first anniversary of the Benghazi terrorist attack.

What’s with the Philadelphia-based National Constitution Center allowing the Liberty Medal to be awarded to Clinton on the very eve of the day before she allowed Stevens, Tyrone Woods, Glen Doherty and Sean Smith to die with no help from the administration she was serving?
Where is the National Constitution Center’s on-the-books protocol?
It seems that everything that comes from the Obama administration has an added sting to human dignity.
