This year’s RedState Gathering was a wonderful event. There was, however, one interesting moment with a guy from the National Republican Senatorial Committee worth sharing.

Friday afternoon as I was trying to make my way to Governor Jindal’s reception, the guy from the NRSC stopped me and very derisively asked if I was going to support anyone other than challengers to incumbents. He went so far as to claim I must be making money to support challengers against incumbents and let me know RedState would be blamed if the GOP did not take back the majority.

A group of concerned Christians are calling on Facebook to remove a page that promotes the notion that the Virgin Mary of the Bible should have received an abortion. Titled “Virgin Mary Should’ve Aborted,” the administrator of the page claims to “explain what really happened in the biblical times, since the bible is full of lies.”

With just over 3,000 ‘Likes,’ Celene Schartner of Australia says the page not only demeans what Christians believe, but it is slanderous and hateful. Parents of Seven Children Reject Abortion to Have Baby With Trisomy 18
Bernadette and Philip Smith were the proud parents of seven children – Philip Jr., Delores, Soma, Titus, Isaac, Israel, and Eden – when they were blessed to learn they would soon welcome an eighth child. Our Web site continues to crash - Endurance International Group bought our hosting provider - Hostgator - in June of this year. They have attempted to move the millions of Internet sites Hostgator hosted to their Hostmonster faculty in Utah as a cost cutting measure and the results have been disastrous. Since the move the speed at which the Religious Freedom Coalition serves out has drastically increased and there have been numerous outages including one on Friday August 2nd that had our site offline for more than five hours. We are currently looking for an alternative provider.
