OBAMA SIGNS MONSANTO PROTECTION - WHY?

It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we regret to inform you that late last night President Barack Obama signed H.R. 993, which contained the Monsanto Protection Act into law. This is an outrage that will not go unanswered.
While we are still waiting to hear from the administration all the final details, we understand at this time that Section 735, the Monsanto biotech rider is intact.
President Obama knowingly signed the Monsanto Protection Act over the insistence of more than 250,000 Americans who signed an urgent letter asking that he use his executive authority to veto H.R. 933 and send it back to Congress to remove the Monsanto Protection Act from the bill. Regretfully, President Obama failed to live up to his oath to protect the American people and our constitution.
Today we’re calling on President Obama to issue an executive order to call for the mandatory labeling of genetically engineered foods.
Now that Congress has passed and President Obama has signed into law, the Monsanto Protection Act, Food Democracy Now! urgently requests that the President issue an executive order to support the mandatory labeling of genetically engineered foods.
REPEAL OBAMACARE AND SUPPORT HR933
Sen. Cruz’ Bill would REPEAL Obamacare.
HR 933 – the Continuing Resolution – was a victory for Big Government. The CR not only keeps the federal government running (or, spending) until late September, it also funds the terrible law given to us via the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. That’s right, through the CR, the Democrats and Establishment GOP members rubber-stamped Obamacare and wrote it a check despite the efforts of Senate and House conservatives to completely defund it. While lovers of the Welfare State may consider this a victory, it’s our job to tell them otherwise… because the fight to fully trash Obamacare is far from over.

NASA chief failed to tell Congress of 118 Chinese nationals working in IT
NASA employs 118 Chinese nationals in "remotely-based" information technology jobs that may enable them to penetrate the space agency's national security database servers, The Washington Examiner has learned.
But NASA administrator Charles Bolden said nothing about these individuals during his testimony last week before a House Appropriations subcommittee hearing on cyber espionage threats against the space agency.
Bolden told the panel he counted 192 Chinese nationals in positions with "physical access" to NASA facilities like its Langley Research Center in Hampton, Va., and Ames Research Center near San Francisco.
The 118 employees with remote access were described in a sensitive but unclassified NASA document given to the subcommittee separately from Bolden's testimony.
The Washington Examiner obtained a subcommittee summary of the document, which described the 118 individuals as having "varying degrees of access" to NASA research and databases.
Rep. Frank Wolf, the subcommittee chairman, told The Washington Examiner he found the discrepancy troubling because "the numbers didn't match" with other data he had seen.
"I think everyone has been surprised that there are so many working at NASA," he said. "Who are they? What are their backgrounds," he asked. NO LINK necessary. You get the point. |

1. The Silver Lining
There are many, many people denying that gay marriage and religious freedom are incompatible. Many of those who deny it are, in fact, hostile to religious freedom to begin with or, when the fight becomes more clear, will be against the church.
That is a silver lining in the gay marriage fight. Many pastors in America who long ago decided they didn’t want the state telling them what to do, so they didn’t want the church telling anyone else what to do now realize just what fools they’ve been. The left will use the state to tell churches what to do or force churches to give up their primary purpose of going and teaching in Jesus’s name.
