My good friend Alan Vera of True the Vote told me long ago that we have a two party system: the Corrupt Party and the Stupid Party. To that fact, during the weekly True the Vote webcast, Catherine Engelbrecht related a meeting she had with RNC Chairman Reince Priebus, asking what the GOP would do about voter integrity. The answer?

Nothing. They aren’t legally able to. (I’m not joking.)

As part of a lawsuit settlement with the Democrat Party, the Gutless Old Party agreed to not engage in any voter protection initiatives. Two of the clauses read this way:

(e) refrain from undertaking any ballot security activities in polling places or election districts where the racial or ethnic composition of such districts is a factor in the decision to conduct, or the actual conduct of, such activities there and where a purpose or significant effect of such activities is to deter qualified voters from voting; and the conduct of such activities disproportionately in or directed toward districts that have a substantial proportion of racial or ethnic populations shall be considered relevant evidence of the existence of such a factor and purpose;

(f) refrain from having private personnel deputized as law enforcement personnel in connection with ballot security activities.

ALABAMA REJECTS OBAMACARE

We the People of Alabama reject obamacare, period. The voters of Alabama rejected it on November 6^th and now Alabama Governor Bentley has said he will not establish the healthcare exchange for Alabama.

The people of Alabama have spoken. If more states did the same, obamacare would be rendered null and void. The whiners in Alabama who want the government making their healthcare decisions are free to move to another state.

NEVADA - MICHELE FIORE WANTS YOUR INPUT...

Friends,

It is hard to believe it is just over a week since the election, and I'm already hard at work as the Assemblywoman-elect!

Last week, I had the privilege of joining my fellow Republican Assembly Members in Carson City for our first Caucus meeting. I'm thankful that they are so welcoming, and I look forward to working together.

I'm also hard at work preparing to submit my bill draft requests (BDRs). If you have any issues you would like to suggest, please reply to this email. I am committed to being your voice in Carson City, and I hope you will share your ideas with me for legislation that will improve our community. I'm already exploring legislation to ensure more of our tax dollars reach the classroom so our children (and my grandson Jake) will receive the best education possible.

Our Nevada legislative process is exciting, and I look forward to sharing it with you. I will continue to keep you posted about the legislation I will be proposing as well as the committees I will serve on. I will also be asking for your input often!

John Boehner has been willing to throw his conference under the bus repeatedly. We know from the Bob Woodward book that he was willing to raise taxes. We know he cut a deal withBarack Obama without consulting the rest of his conference. We know it blew up in his face.

We know he now doesn’t even want to fight Obamacare, calling it the “law of the land.” We know he only walked back that statement because of the outrage that ensued.

We know he wants to start putting moderates into leadership positions like Cathy McMorris Rodgers instead of Tom Price. We know he is demanding conservatives “get in line”.
