Dear Conservatives,
I remember exactly where I was when I saw the horrific video footage trickle in from the Columbine massacre in 1999.
As the only real gun rights lobbyist in Colorado at the time, the phone began ringing off the hook asking for my thoughts.
My response then was similar to what I said just a few weeks ago in light of the Aurora Theater massacre:
My heart goes out to the victims and their families, but gun-grabbers have created millions of gun-free Criminal Safezones across the country, and new gun controls on our Second Amendment rights will only empower criminals and thugs.
If you hold similar sentiments, you well know that sometimes your co-workers, peers and even family and friends DO NOT agree with you.
They fire back with the same gun control lines they hear from politicians and commentators on TV and radio and read in the newspaper.

THE SWEETEST QUEEN OF MEAN EVER!
Please pardon a father’s pride, but I think my 12-year-old daughter, Kristen, is the prettiest “Queen of Hearts” ever.And that handsome young “2 of Clubs” sitting in the background is her 5-year-old brother, CJ. Not shown in the photo is their 10-year-old sister, Jenna, who played “Petunia.”
The trio performed together for the first time Friday night in the Hollywood Kids Academy’s production of “Alice in Wonderland.”
And as for those not happy with me taking this space to brag a little about my young ‘uns, I have just four words:
“Off with their heads!!”

With the exception of one column previously penned, I pray this becomes my most widely read to date.
The secular left has mastered use of the Internet to further its extremist goals. In fact, President Obama’s web-based “Organizing for America” propaganda machine may have given him the 2008 election.
Let’s beat them at their own game.
To that end, I have a strange request. I’m asking each God-fearing, freedom-loving American who reads this column to forward it, post it, tweet it, print it out and give it to every pastor, priest or cleric you know. If you don’t know any, give it to someone who does.
Why? I agree with Barack Obama that November 2012 represents the most important election of our lifetimes – perhaps our history. Of course, that’s where my agreement with Mr. Obama both begins and abruptly ends.

By now you know that Mitt Romney has chosen Wisconsin Republican Paul Ryan to be his Vice Presidential nominee.
Paul Ryan is not a safe pick. In fact, it is a pick that suggests Mitt Romney knows he needs to shift momentum in the race. When the GOP is winning on all the major polling questions of debt, deficit, and economy and still losing overall — the polling can’t all be wrong, including Fox News — the Romney camp needs a new direction and a more focused message.
What they had been doing was not and is not working.
Paul Ryan works. The most recently named Human Events Conservative of the Year is a lightening rod on the left for the Ryan plan, which balances the budget over the next two decades. What was not enough for some conservatives is too much for some liberals. Paul Ryan exposes the left’s great lie. They think they can just raise taxes on those who make $250,000.00 a year or more and never have to cut spending or fix entitlements.
