NEVEDA - SENATOR DEAN HELLER AT WORK

Heller Introduces Women's Homeless Veterans Act

Bill Designates Funds to Assist Female Homeless Veterans

(Washington, D.C.) – Today U.S. Senator Dean Heller (R-NV) announced introduction of the Women's Homeless Veterans Act (S. 3308). This bill would require at least 15 percent of funds provided to the Department of Veterans Affairs Grant and Per Diem Program to be allocated to homeless veterans with special needs, which provides assistance to homeless female veterans and children. It also reimburses shelters and facilities that provide services to children of homeless veterans.
"This economy has left far too many Americans without work, and in too many instances, homeless. A number of veterans have not only fallen on tough times financially, but some who have had difficulties adjusting to civilian life. As the demographics of our Armed Forces have changed throughout the years, so too have the needs of homeless veterans. Many homeless shelters were not designed to serve the needs of female veterans or homeless veterans with children. I am proud to introduce this legislation to provide much-needed assistance to homeless female veterans and their families," said Senator Dean Heller.

NBC OUT OF TOUCH WITH REALITY - OPENLY FABRICATING (so-called) NEWS

Dear Conservatives,
Barack Obama's adoring cheerleaders at NBC are back in the editing room distorting the truth, and, not surprisingly, Andrea Mitchell has the gall to make no apologies for it.
First it was their vile attempt to make George Zimmerman sound like a racist to gin up racial conflict, and now they've set their sights on Mitt Romney who they're desperately trying to paint as an out-of-touch, silver spoon Republican wowed by Wawa sandwiches.
This is a brazen attempt by NBC's Andrea Mitchell to create a modern "supermarket scanner" moment for Mitt Romney where one clearly does not exist. This "gaffe" is a complete fabrication deliberately perpetrated by MSNBC's "Andrea Mitchell Reports." Her attempt to right this wrong by playing a few more seconds of video today is a slap in the face. Romney was making a valid point about the efficiency of private sector innovation. He was not amazed that he could order a sandwich with a touchscreen. His message is clear as day to anyone who watches the full video of his stump speech, and should sicken anyone who compares it to Mitchell's sensational hatchet job.
Please watch the video that we've put together that shows Ms. Mitchell's hatchet job next to the quote in context.

POLITICAL DIGEST 06/20/2012

Must Read: Europe's on the brink of probably the gravest and most frightening tumult of our lifetime. By Max Hastings
Excerpt: Our political leaders have not mentioned this, not told us Europe is up the creek without a paddle, because half of them are in denial about what is going on, and not one has a sensible idea what to do about it. Sunday’s Greek election was trailed for weeks as a make-or-break event. Nobody with a brain the size of a sultana believed it, but we dutifully listened to the TV news coverage, and waited with unbated breath for a result. (Hastings is a brilliant and highly-respected British historian. ~Bob.)

Greek elections haven’t calmed fears about Europe’s financial health
Nor should they have, unless math is beyond you. ~Bob. Excerpt: Europe found itself in the firing line of financial markets and world leaders on Monday, with election results in near-bankrupt Greece failing to quell mounting fears about the region’s financial stability.

THIS SPEAKS VOLUMES ABOUT OBAMA'S CORE VALUES!

SOMETHING OBAMA CANNOT GRASP!

It's About Freedom, Stupid!By Frank Salvato

“The moment the idea is admitted into society that property is not as sacred as the laws of God, and there is not a force of law and public justice to protect it, anarchy and tyranny commence.” – John Adams

I was listening to a local radio program when one caller, his voice rife with exasperation at the politics of the day, made a very astute, yet basic observation, and one that really should be the quintessential question for this election. The host was having a discussion about Jeffersonian political ideology and how far we have distanced ourselves from that founding dogma, when the caller brought up two of the most basic and essential tenets of freedom: the free market and private property. He stated – and quite accurately – that when the free market is compromised by governmental regulation, and when the principled concept of private property is usurped by governmental confiscation, we cease to live as free people.

CALL YOUR SENATORS DEMANDING THEY STAND UP TO THE EPA!

Dear Conservatives,Closed
This week, the United States Senate will vote on a resolution that could determine the future of energy in America.  President Obama’s EPA is on the attack with a series of regulations that will significantly increase the costs of energy, which means higher prices for consumers, businesses, and producers, especially in Midwestern states where coal is used to generate electricity.
The EPA’s most recent regulation, known as the “Utility MACT” rule, is the most expensive rule ever issued by the agency.  Not only will this rule generate higher prices, it also threatens jobs and the reliability of the electricicty grid itself.
By the EPA’s own estimates, the rule’s attempt to regulate toxic air pollutants will cost $10 billion per year while only generating at most $6 million in benefits—that means the ratio of costs to benefits is 1,600 to 1!
