EPA AND ENVIRONMENTALISTS TEAM UP TO STOP JOBS CREATION

Radical environmentalists are constantly trying to silence the opposing voices that speak truth about job-creating projects like Keystone XL and the Pebble mine in Alaska. You recently joined more than 10,000 others in support of the Keystone XL pipeline by signing onto our petition – thank you!

Today, we are up against more lefty wingnuts and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). They are shutting out Native Alaskans’ opinions all because they refuse to tow the party line regarding a proposed gold and copper mine in southwest Alaska.

OBAMA PLANS TO CUT FUNDS THAT HELP STATES PAY FOR JAILING ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS

Barack Obama has added to his laundry-list of tactics intended to undermine the efforts of states fighting against illegal immigration within their own borders. Now, the Obama administration is proposing in its 2013 budget to cut $170 million from the State Criminal Alien Assistance Program leaving a measly $70 million for the program that helps states cover jail costs for illegal immigrants. The Justice Department has steadily cut this funding during the Obama administration with Obama even proposing to eliminate the SCAAP program in its entirety during his first year in office.

Texas, California and New York typically receive the biggest shares of the program with Texas alone receiving about eight percent of the program’s available funding in each of the last three years. Sens. Kay Bailey Hutchison and John Cornyn of Texas both see the budget cut as placing an unfair burden on local and state taxpayers “in order to appear to be cutting the federal budget” in light of Obama’s failure to secure the border and enforce federal immigration law.

Once the hardliner in cracking down on illegal immigration, new crackdown legislation in Arizona has begun to lose steam despite the success of its tough legislation like the infamous Senate Bill 1070 that was signed into law nearly two years ago.

Conservative state legislators are hoping to take back the distinction of being the toughest in the nation when it comes to illegal immigrants despite the tough odds of passing additional legislation now that most of the focus is on jobs and the economy.

It’s worth noting that since Arizona began cracking down on illegal immigration within its own borders, the unemployment rate of Arizonans is steadily decreasing.
