I was interested to see a comment from a Muhammad Azeem on the digest. Alas, turned out to be Span promoting commercial websites. People ask why I must approve comments. One reason is to keep Spam off the site. The other is to keep the occasional leftist from taking it over with long, foul-mouthed rants on every post. Have only had to block two or three people for this reason over three years, and as readers know, I allow most critical posts.

If you regularly carry a cell phone around with you, you might as well say goodbye to your privacy.  The truth is that any cell phone you buy is going to track you wherever you go 24 hours a day.  Just as you leave "footprints" wherever you go on the Internet, so also your cell phone is constantly recording wherever you go in the physical world.  Most people do not realize this, but the reality is that cell phones are tracking devices that governments, law enforcement authorities, big corporations and even stalkers can use to easily track your movements.

PHOENIX - A gunman who wounded a Phoenix police officer investigating a disturbance at a trailer park early Saturday was finally taken into custody after an hours-long standoff with a SWAT team.

The suspect, identified as 26-year-old Joseph Sandoval, had been holed up in a trailer since about 1 a.m. and surrendered just before dawn, police spokesman Sgt. Steve Martos said.

SWAT team members had surrounded the trailer at the park about three miles east of downtown after the officer was shot while investigating a trespassing call.
