Democrats doubt Barack Obama's reelection chances

Mr Obama's capitulation to Republicans in the recent tussle over deficit reduction is being seen as the lowest point of his presidency and the latest in a series of blows to the liberal agenda. Faced with the staunch opposition of the Tea Party contingent of the Republican Party, he agreed to widespread cuts in government spending without winning any revenue increases in exchange.

ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS SENTENCED FOR COUNTERFEITING

Two illegal Mexican immigrants are scheduled for sentencing before a federal judge in Pittsburgh, PA for possessing nearly $39,000 worth of high quality counterfeit $100 bills. The two men were arrested for passing about $1,500 worth of fake money at a local Macy’s department store.

Alejandro Vargas Ceron, 31, and Israel Leyva Sanchez, 23, both gave New York City addresses when arrested but possessed Mexican ID cards and were in the U.S. illegally. They will be automatically deported after serving their sentences. Federal investigators are unsure if they will ever determine where the men got the bills.

Dude, Where’s My America?

I hear it all the time. Folks longing for the “old days” of family, neighborhood and community in America. When people, not the government, took care of themselves and watched out for each other. When it took parents to raise a child, but everyone in the village kept a watchful eye in a supporting role. When things were simpler, safer, better.

Is that version of America dead and gone? Nope. I found it again this week in Mission Bay, California – but you can find it all over the country. It’s in….family campgrounds.
