Obama to O'Reilly: " I didn't raise taxes, Once."
In an interview on Super Bowl Sunday, Fox News host Bill O'Reilly asked President Barack Obama to react to a Wall Street Journal editorial that accused Obama of being "a determined man of the left whose goal is to redistribute much larger levels of income across society."
"Do you deny that you are a man who wants to redistribute wealth?" O'Reilly asked.
Obama first noted the conservatism of the Wall Street Journal's editorial page, then denied the charge "absolutely."
"I didn't raise taxes once. I lowered taxes over the last two years," Obama said.

Townhall does a great job here s far as it goes, and it is obvious that the near-bankrupt California is its own undoing, with the high taxes, energy costs and generally anti-business atmosphere that is driving out business after business.
But unmentioned here is the huge burden of illegal immigration. In fact, the low into-state immigration figures it lists almost certainly do not include the uncounted masses of illegal aliens.
One analysis shows that if all the illegal aliens were gone and a well-enforced migrant farm worker program were in place instead of the existing open border and state-wide free-for-all sanctuary atmosphere, California would have virtually no deficit at all.
Townhall always makes sure to include some genuine conservative Tea Party articles, but it subtly includes the subliminal message that only "moderates" (RINOs) can save our nation. Yesterday's issue included a straightforward commentary by Glenn Beck fiercely criticizing Bill Kristol for being a shill for the RINOs.
But the day before they published an article favorable to the candidacy of pro-invasion Jeb Bush, who never dared to breathe a word about the evils of illegal immigration and its onerous cost to the nation.
