Liberty Counsel Action
It’s
not negotiating when you demand that it’s done your way or not at all.
And it’s not negotiating when you get most of what you ask for and
subsequently change your demands upward!
President
Obama, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, and their Democrat cohorts
have not only demanded that Republicans do it “their way or the
highway,” they have now upped their demand for more money to spend this
year and specified a higher debt ceiling on top of it!
This
outrage continues to be Liberty Counsel Action’s “call to action” on
behalf of our nation and against the rising tyranny of the Obama
administration and liberal “progressives” who think they “own” the
federal government!

Conservatives,
President
Obama and Senate Democrats are now scheming on how to pass a Continuing
Resolution (CR) that restores government spending back to
pre-sequestration levels and raises the debt ceiling to accommodate the
additional cash windfall.
They
say all of this will have to be accomplished by this Thursday, the
Chicken Little “default” date, which is yet another of the
administration’s “sky is falling” deceptions.
The
so-called “negotiations” between President Obama and the Senate have
effectively nullified the efforts of the House of Representatives, where
spending bills are constitutionally required to start.
In
effect, President Obama only wants to negotiate with the more
controllable of the two chambers – and subsequently force their measures
through the House. This outrageous constitutional abuse is exactly how
Barack Obama and Harry Reid ramrodded ObamaCare through Congress in the
first place!
++We have moved from the “shutdown showdown” to the “shutdown shuffle.”
It’s
clear that Barack Obama and his Senate sycophants intend to once again
ignore the will of a majority of Americans and pass a funding bill with
little or no impact on ObamaCare, the great albatross around the neck of
our nation.
Now,
they are shuffling their demands and “moving the goalposts” to raise
the stakes and force conservatives to accept increased spending with
few, if any, restrictions on how that money will be spent.
Through
their media mouthpieces, the Obama/Reid axis of power has relentlessly
demonized, delegitimized, and dehumanized their adversaries, taking a
page directly from the Alinsky playbook of how to overpower opponents.
Over
the next couple of days, we have what may be our last opportunity to
stop ObamaCare legislatively before the 2014 elections – and by then it
may be too late to try to repeal it.
But all hope is not lost. The American people are wising up to the truth about ObamaCare! Further,
we have made it clear that we will not allow elected representatives to
run roughshod over the will of the people and censor our voices!
With

Yesterday,
in an inspirational display of the people’s deep-seated disgust with
the Senate and the Obama administration, Sarah Palin, Ted Cruz, several
other conservative leaders, and a highly motivated group of thousands of
patriots, WWII vets, and truckers rallied at the WWII Memorial in
Washington, DC.
The
WWII Memorial has become a symbol of the administration’s outrageous
effort to “make it hurt as much as possible” by closing national parks,
memorials, and monuments.
It
has been the scene of several showdowns with aging veterans who have
long-scheduled “honor flights” and other events centered on the
memorial. Many Members of Congress and other sympathetic officials have
attended various rallies there.
But
yesterday, some protestors went a bit off the plan and removed the
barricades, dumping some of them by the White House under the watchful
eyes of police in riot gear.
You
may not have seen these events on the news because very few mainstream
national outlets covered the event. For those of us who love America
and the liberty our Constitution affords us, it conveyed a highly
symbolic message.
President
Obama has proven he is an obstructionist president! He has put up
formidable barriers to meaningful dialogue on crucial issues facing our
nation. He is telling the American people that he alone knows what’s
best – it’s his agenda, his way, or the highway.
These presidential barriers, like the ones on the WWII Memorial, must come down!
This
is obviously a very fluid situation, and this afternoon there may be
important news about a new Senate proposal that is being conveyed to
Speaker of the House John Boehner and the House Republicans.
But
for now, for today, please join in our nationwide effort to barrage the
Senate with our Delay, Defund, and Defeat ObamaCare message. They must be told that we are not the fringe radicals – we are the majority!
