When I first heard about robo signing and how banks fudged around with mortgage securitization, I must confess, I had a hard time conceiving of this as a crime.

But this author makes it simple:

 

Asking who gets ripped off:

The homeowner.  He has no idea who is the correct [mortgage] holder.  He is paying a note but who’s getting the money?  The correct noteholder or a pretender?  There’s no way for him to know.  And if he stops paying and the putative noteholder forecloses, it may not be the actual noteholder, in which case the debt is not extinguished at all!

Indeed, he refused to participate in a candidate debate this past Monday night that was moderated by KDWN 720 AM’s Alan Stock, and then blew off an invitation by Jon Ralston to debate Beers on Ralston’s Face to Face program.

Let’s face it, the guy’s a real chicken-ric.

Saul David Alinsky (1909-1972) was a leading organizer of neighborhood citizen reform groups in the United States between 1936 and 1972. He also provided philosophical direction for this type of organizing movement.
Saul David Alinsky was born in Chicago, January 30, 1909, the child of Russian-Jewish immigrant parents, Benjamin and Sarah (Tannenbaum). Saul’s parents were divorced when he was 13 years old, and he went to live with his father who had moved to Los Angeles. He later returned to Chicago to study at the University of Chicago from which he earned a doctorate in archeology in 1930. Upon graduation he won a fellowship from the university’s sociology department which enabled him to study criminology. In 1931 he went to work as a sociologist for the Illinois Division of Juvenile Research while also serving at the Institute for Criminal Research and the Illinois Prison Board. At this time he married Helene Simon, with whom he had two children, a son and a daughter. His wife died in a drowning accident in 1947.

MISSISSIPPI ENACTS ANTI-ILLEGAL ALIEN LAW

MISSISSIPPI LAWMAKERS PASS ANTI-ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION LAW 

Mississippi House members voted 70-47 for a bill Thursday that will crack down on illegal immigration by enabling police to check the immigration status of individuals arrested.  House leaders stripped the most controversial provisions of the bill before the vote which is expected to pass the Republican-controlled state Senate and move onto the governor’s desk for a likely signing.

Opponents of the bill were successful in removing a provision requiring schools to count illegal immigrants before the bill went for the House vote though they still claim the measure is racist and would shatter families while reinforcing stereotypes of Mississippians. House Judiciary B Committee Chairman Andy Gipson denied their claims saying, “It’s about the rule of law.” Gipson also said he tried to craft a bill that would survive legal challenges and not punish acts of charity.
