Vice President Joe Biden has been unleashed by President Obama to blitz his former colleagues in the Senate and rally support for gun control. It’s a familiar pattern, reminiscent of the administration’s arm-twisting when ObamaCare was forced through Congress.
Even though opinion polls continue to report that the American people are not in favor of gun control, we dare not take the President’s aggressive manipulation of our elected representatives lightly!  Joe Biden’s commission from Barack Obama is our call to launch equally aggressive counter-measures!
Please see my very important message below – Mat.
Last week, Vice President Joe Biden told a group of gun control advocates organized by NYC Mayor Bloomberg’sMayors Against Illegal Guns that the upcoming Senate vote on gun control is “just the beginning.”
Freedom-loving Americans need to heed Joe Biden’s warning!
Today, has revealed the Obama administration’s next phase of an all-out campaign to push gun control through the legislature.
The Hill is calling Biden’s tactics a “full court press” as he is pressuring Senators during their recess on a regular basis in anticipation of a vote when the Senators return to session.

Barack Obama – April 1, 2013

“I call upon all Americans to observe this month with programs and activities to improve their understanding of financial principles and practices,”
“My Administration is dedicated to helping people make sound decisions in the marketplace,”
"Together, we can prepare young people to tackle financial challenges--from learning how to budget responsibly to saving for college, starting a business, or opening a retirement account,”
“My Administration continues to encourage responsibility at all levels of our financial system by cracking down on deceptive practices and ensuring that consumers are informed of their rights.”

You have got to be kidding! This ranks right up there with “We have to pass the bill to find out what’s in it.”
This was not an April Fools prank.

5 Groups Of Obama Voters That Are Being Crushed By Democrats

Hollywood, the mainstream media and the public school system are all almost entirely controlled by people and groups friendly to the Democrat Party. Yet and still, even with that almost overwhelming advantage, Democrats can't do any better than a rough parity with the Republicans. If the tables were turned and the GOP controlled what you see on TV, in the news and what your kids are taught at school the same way the Democrats do, the Republican Party would win every presidential election and would permanently maintain unassailable majorities in Congress.

So, why aren't the Democrats running away with every election? Because selling Democrat policies is like Coca-Cola's marketing team trying to sell the public on rat spit in a bottle. Since they can't sell their product, they spend all their time convincing the public that the little Republican girls down the street selling lemonade probably spit in it when their mothers aren't looking. Sadly, this tactic works pretty well and a lot of Democrats end up voting for people who are ruining their lives.

Video: Why Are We Training Russian Troops In The US?

Apr 01, 2013 01:25 pm

Are America’s treasured National Parks being co-opted by the New World Order under the guise of designating them World Heritage Sites, thus allowing foreign troops and United Nations agencies to take over our country in a soft coup d’etat? A blogger has photographed heavily equipped armored vehicles carrying the “Special Response Team” logo in and [...]

Obama Demands Sheriffs Enforce Gun Bans

Apr 01, 2013 01:14 pm

“A law repugnant to the Constitution is void.” Though Chief Justice John Marshall’s decision in the landmark case Marbury vs Madison has led to two centuries of power-abusing mischief on the part of our federal government, he did have the premise correct—a law which is unconstitutional is not a law at all. What he did [...]

Campus Carry is scheduled for a hearing - Wednesday, April 3rd at 8:00am in Assembly Judiciary. Please plan to attend and voice your support. If you can't attend, you can click here to make sure your support of AB143 is on the record. The committee needs to hear from as many of the Nevadans who support this bill as possible.

Assembly Bill 143 would allow law-abiding, trained adults to carry their concealed firearm on our Nevada System of Higher Education properties, and when I first announced I would be reintroducing this legislation, I knew there would be a lot of feedback. I never imagined there would be this much support and media coverage!

I am a strong supporter of our 2nd Amendment Rights, and I introduced this bill because I have two beautiful daughters who attend the College of Southern Nevada. I worry about their safety, and I want them to have the ability to protect themselves if needed.

After introducing AB143, I was given the privilege of meeting a young woman who believes this legislation would have allowed her to take charge of her own safety the night she was raped at the University of Nevada, Reno. I'm hoping Amanda will join us on Wednesday to tell her story and share her support of this bill.

I expect to re-start Silver State Confidential as a paid subscription publication again in the next few days (just working out the mind-numbing technical part dealing with recurring online payments).  In the meantime, enjoy this free sample…

The Nevada State Senate this afternoon approved SJR 15, a resolution to shove a new $780 million tax hike up the mining industry’s wazoo, by a vote of 17-4.

The only votes in opposition were by conservative Republican Sens. James Settelmeyer,Don Gustavson and Barbara Cegavske, along with moderate Republican Sen. Pete “Tax My Meat” Goicoechea, whose entire district is basically in mining’s back yard.

And just as a helpful reminder, the Dirty Half-Dozen tax-hiking Republican state senators (April fools?) who voted with the Democrats, the liberal media and PLAN (Progressive Liberal Alliance of Nevada) to give mining the shaft were:

Sen. "Moderate Mike" Roberson
Sen. Ben “Blue Dog” Kieckhefer
Sen. Joe “The Nanny” Hardy
Sen. Greg Brower
Sen. Scott Hammond
Sen. Mark Hutchison

2. This Will Signal The Final Collapse & End Game Has Started
“I think the US stock market is building a massive rounded top, and when it finally buckles it will probably be the start of the end game.  The volume keeps declining as the markets rise.  This is not a good pattern when viewed from a historical context.
So the whole situation we find ourselves in makes me very uncomfortable.  The mainstream media continues with its propaganda in order to mislead people regarding the true state of the economy.  At the same time the markets keep being propped up by the Fed, and gold and silver are being wildly suppressed.

Planned Parenthood Official Calls for POST-Birth Abortion

by NTEB News Desk

Post-birth abortion is murder
Florida legislators considering a bill to require abortionists to provide medical care to an infant who survives an abortion were shocked during a committee hearing this week when a Planned Parenthood official endorsed a right to post-birth abortion.
Alisa LaPolt Snow, the lobbyist representing the Florida Alliance of Planned Parenthood Affiliates, testified that her organization believes the decision to kill an infant who survives a failed abortion should be left up to the woman seeking an abortion and her abortion doctor.
"So, um, it is just really hard for me to even ask you this question because I’m almost in disbelief," said Rep. Jim Boyd.
"If a baby is born on a table as a result of a botched abortion, what would Planned Parenthood want to have happen to that child that is struggling for life?”

Obama eligibility appeal in Roy Moore's court
April 1, 2013
Many cases challenging Barack Obama’s presidential eligibility have come and gone, but now an appeal has been filed with a state Supreme Court led by a newly elected chief justice who has expressed doubt about Obama’s qualification for office.
Roy Moore was elected chief justice of the Alabama Supreme Court last November, a decade after he defied a federal order to remove a Ten Commandments monument from the state Supreme Court building.
Now, 2012 Constitution Party presidential nominee Virgil Goode and Alabama Republican Party leader Hugh McInnish are asking the state’s highest court to force Secretary of State Beth Chapman to verify that all candidates on the state’s 2012 ballot were eligible to serve.
Attorney Larry Klayman, founder of the Washington, D.C.-watch dog Judicial Watch and now head of Freedom Watch, filed the appeal Tuesday with the Alabama Supreme Court, asking for oral arguments.

RedState Briefing 04/01/2013

Morning Briefing
For April 1, 2013

1.  Yes, Let’s Keep Government Out of Marriage
Last week at RedState, we spent a lot of time focusing on politics from a faith perspective because it was Holy Week. Throughout the week, many people who support gay marriagelambasted me and others that Christians were just trying to use government to legislate marriage or morality.

But I agree that we should keep the government out of marriage.

Last I checked, George and Martha Washington did not get remarried after 1776 when the United States declared independence from Great Britain. Nor did they do so after 1789, when the constitution was enacted.

In fact, not one of the founding fathers married prior to 1776 remarried the same person after the United States was formed.

Government did not create marriage. The only laws on the books related to marriage are state laws and federal laws that recognize the marriage structure that previously existed before the government established them.

Texas Prosecutor and Wife Shot Dead in Their Home — 2 Months After His Assistant Was Also Gunned Down
Mar. 31, 2013 7:42am Madeleine Morgenstern
KAUFMAN, Texas (AP) — Kaufman County District Attorney Mike McLelland took no chances after one of his assistant prosecutors was assassinated two months ago. McLelland said he carried a gun everywhere he went and took extra care when answering the door at his home.
“I’m ahead of everybody else because, basically, I’m a soldier,” the 23-year Army veteran boasted in an interview less than two weeks ago.
On Saturday, he and his wife were found dead in their home just outside the town of Forney, about 20 miles from Dallas, killed in an attack for which authorities have given no motive.
