Vice President Joe Biden has been unleashed by President Obama to blitz his former colleagues in the Senate and rally support for gun control. It’s a familiar pattern, reminiscent of the administration’s arm-twisting when ObamaCare was forced through Congress.
Even though opinion polls continue to report that the American people are not in favor of gun control, we dare not take the President’s aggressive manipulation of our elected representatives lightly! Joe Biden’s commission from Barack Obama is our call to launch equally aggressive counter-measures!

Last week, Vice President Joe Biden told a group of gun control advocates organized by NYC Mayor Bloomberg’sMayors Against Illegal Guns that the upcoming Senate vote on gun control is “just the beginning.”
Freedom-loving Americans need to heed Joe Biden’s warning!
Today, TheHill.com has revealed the Obama administration’s next phase of an all-out campaign to push gun control through the legislature.
The Hill is calling Biden’s tactics a “full court press” as he is pressuring Senators during their recess on a regular basis in anticipation of a vote when the Senators return to session.
“Biden has already held private meetings with Republican senators including John McCain (Ariz.), Lindsey Graham (S.C.) and Johnny Isakson (Ga.), according to a senior administration official. The official added that Biden would also be spending considerable time on Capitol Hill in the weeks to come.”
This is not the time for American patriots to be lulled into a sense of false security that these initial gun control proposals are somehow reasonable or won’t really amount to anything!
Nothing could be further from the truth – Barack Obama is treating Gun Control as yet another piece of “signature legislation” to add to his so-called presidential legacy.

The reality is that under the cloak of various legal and legislative measures – including seemingly sensible processes like “universal background checks” – our Second Amendment rights are under fire as never before.
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid plans to push forward a gun control bill that would expand background checks and enact tougher penalties for gun trafficking. But, as vice President Biden said about the legislation, “it’s just the beginning!”
The expanded background checks place the government squarely in the middle of every gun purchase, including private transactions.
Opponents of the bill believe it will ultimately result in the universal registration of all firearms and gun owners. At a minimum, it will lead to expanded monitoring by the ATF which will place citizens at an increased risk of searches and seizures.
There is no way to get around the fact that this “benign” bill in the Senate is a wolf in sheep’s clothing!

++As with ObamaCare, Harry Reid knows all too well that getting this gun control legislation passed really is “just the beginning.”
How did ObamaCare get passed? Through backroom deals, bribery, deception, manipulation, and a heavy dose of double speak from President Barrack Obama, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, and then-Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi.
We now know that the original 2,700 page bill – which many lawmakers hadn’t even read before they voted on it – was just the initial installment on the mountainous stacks of forthcoming rules, guidelines, fees, and taxes.
And how many promises were made about ObamaCare that have long since been broken and were doubtless never intended to be upheld?
This proposed gun legislation is nothing short of a power grab…as we have seen Harry Reid do in so many other instances. Reid can be counted upon to forward the Left’s desire to fundamentally transform our nation and diminish our individual liberties. Mark my words: It will happen if patriots do nothing to stop it!
