I recall all too well back in the early 1990's when the idiots in office declared the Spotted OWL
to be of greater importance than the lives of those involved in the logging industry - from the forest owners, to the loggers, to the truckers, to the mills and the mill workers and their families, to the finished products of that lumber. I remember all the phoney classes to be introduced to RETRAIN those out of job LOGGERS.
No one wanted to hear the voices of us who stood against this insanity of protecting this OWL and how it would lead to FIRES and total destruction of the forests and much more as time would pass. This entire fiasco can be placed on the heads of those who thought the OWLS were of greater importance than keeping the forests in healthy condition while providing jobs and livelihood for thousands of HUMANS. As the so called *authorities* (ie: Gov. Moonbeam - Gov. INSLEAZE)) seek to place blame for these fires - they only need to look in the mirror and open their eyes wide and ask - "WHO WHO WHO " as the Spotted Owl said all those years ago.
