State of the Dictatorship

President Obama is a big proponent of recycling -- and he's proven it with his last several State of the Union speeches. While America's problems keep piling up, the White House keeps trotting out the same tired solutions. Early reports of tomorrow's address suggest that the President is intent on regifting the failed priorities of the past five years -- only this time, he isn't asking Congress, he's telling them.
Legislating is tough business -- too tough, apparently, for President Obama. This year, the White House has a not-so-new strategy for muscling through its agenda: unilateralism. Tomorrow night, as part of his push for climate change, infrastructure spending, and education, the President plans on declaring his independence -- from Congress. Taking what his staff calls a "pen and phone" approach, the administration is gearing up for a season light on consensus and heavy on executive orders. "We need to show the American people that we can get something done, either with Congress or on our own," said the White House's Dan Pfeiffer.

Grassfire Update:
Dear Conservatives,

MSNBC and CNN are floating the revisionist theory that Ambassador Chris Stevens is responsible for his death and the deaths of three other Americans in Benghazi, Libya, on September 11, 2012. Perhaps the left-leaning, pro-Obama news outlets are beginning to feel the intensifying heat amid calls for the appointment of a Select Committee to get the full truth on the terror attacks.

An op-ed published Wednesday by The Wall Street Journal and written by Stevens' deputy chief of mission Greg Hicks calls out those who are seeking to blame a man who cannot defend himself.
"Some have been suggesting that the blame for this tragedy lies at least partly with Ambassador Chris Stevens, who was killed in the attack," writes Hicks. "This is untrue: The blame lies entirely with Washington."
+ + Don't Let Obama's "Minions" Blame The Victim!

Tomorrow night, Barack Hussein Obama will give his State-of-the-Union, and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) wants the President "to call on Congress to form a Joint Select Committee to finally discover the truth of why four Americans perished in a preventable terrorist attack in Benghazi 16 months ago."

Don't Cry for ME-Argentina

by David P. Goldman

I wish I had a nickel for every prediction of social unrest in China that I've read in the past year. Apart from the risk of stampedes at shopping malls before the Lunar New Year, China is tranquil. Meanwhile there are several dozen dead in Cairo overnight, central Bangkok remains under lockdown, street protests are out of control in Ukraine, Argentines are looting stores during power outages, and the stink of tear gas still overhangs the public squares of Istanbul from last year's demonstrations.
There is social unrest in a lot of places other than China, and it goes together with the collapse of local currencies. The Chinese aren't rioting because they are gainfully occupied and their wages are rising 15% to 20% a year. Other so-called emerging markets are in trouble because they are teeming with people who have nothing remunerative to do.

Boehner Statement on Farm Bill Agreement
WASHINGTON, DC - House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) issued the following statement on the House-Senate agreement on the Farm Bill:
“The House-Senate agreement announced this evening is a positive step in the right direction.  The measure will not only save taxpayers approximately $23 billion, it also includes important reforms to both farm and food stamp programs.  While I hoped many of these reforms would go further, the status quo is simply unacceptable.  I have voted against the last two Farm Bills because, in my view, they made farm and food stamp policy worse rather than better.  This legislation, however, is worthy of the House’s support. Chairman Lucas and his colleagues should be commended for the important reforms they secured in this agreement.”

Busted! The Democratic Party's Moral Superiority
Many analysts of national news media have noted that there is a double standard with regard to how the media report the behavioral faux pas of Republican versus Democratic politicians.
But there is a far more important difference between the two national parties and their moral postures. This difference is revealed when one compares the campaign rhetoric used by the DNC to the behavior of Democratic officials at the local, state, and national levels once they have achieved positions of power.
While Democrats have a set script with regard to campaign rhetoric -- they demonize Republicans while claiming that only Democrats are concerned for the needy and less privileged -- in order to understand their true character, it is necessary to look at how they behave once they are in power. This is most clearly revealed through how they respond to perceived threats to their control of money.
Democrats have shown a consistent inability to balance budgets at the local, state, and national level. And after creating a fiscal crisis, Democrats always say that if they are not given more money "essential services" will be cut back. This implies that they will make the voters suffer if they are unable to persuade the GOP to give them more money by raising the deficit ceiling; revealing that they practice moral blackmail as standard operating procedure. Last year President Obama went out of his way to close off the WW II memorial to visiting veterans.

The above Russian language link is the only thing I found with certain key details. There is a virtual blackout in the Western press re. the upcoming testimony but this a.m. I saw Snowden on Deutsche Welle being fitted with a mike somewhere in Russia, presumably in preparation for his upcoming televised testimony to a court in Europe, probably in Berlin, regarding the NSA massive spying program as it relates to ex ally Europe.
This is the hottest news item out there and it is being spiked by the press.
The Russian language article cites German Justice Minister Sabine Leuthäuser-Schnarrenberger speaking to this case and saying "illegal wiretapping is a crime and the perpetrator must be brought to justice."
Stunning words from a high official in a country that not too long ago was a virtual lapdog of Washington.
You can make whatever you want out of that, but there is little doubt in Germany that Barack would be the perp.
A condemnatory verdict of any kind will no doubt kill all that remains of Barack's prestige abroad and will almost certainly detract from what little remains of his popularity in the US.
It is expected to happen in January.

I’m here to tell ya’ I’m living it.
It’s really sad how many of these immigrants I have met are hardworking, fine and decent people. Yet, in spite of how nice some immigrants are, it appears to me that so many softhearted Americans somehow can’t see the end result of “uncontrolled” immigration...
You all might recall that my maternal grandmother came to America in 1897 from Lapland/Finland (about 60,000 emigrants left Finland during that decade) while age-old Sami ways of life were brutally interrupted by the increasing economic and political Russian oppression, and Soviet collectivization of the reindeer husbandry and agriculture. The degree to which Finnish immigrants were distrusted and often shunned and even the communities into which they moved was disproportionately high compared to their immigrant neighbors. Nevertheless, she went through the process of becoming an American Citizen and had to learn to speak English and understand civics for that to happen.
I ask in my head why this process has been discontinued? (Have you ever watched how Mexico City or similar areas are governed today?)(Boris Bazhanov's Memoirs of Stalin's Former Secretary, published in 1992 near the end of chapter five, reads as follows (loosely translated with the help of Google): "You know, comrades," says Stalin, "that I think in regard to this: I consider it completely unimportant who in the party will vote, or how; but what is extraordinarily important is this — who will count the votes, and how.")
It appears that King Sortero/Obama and his Congressional lapdogs seek to further skew the voting in the US by inducing a flow of immigrant people that would naturally approve of further immigration reform.

Judge won't toss Neb. driver's license lawsuit

Updated 11:38 am, Friday, January 24, 2014
LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — A judge has refused to dismiss a lawsuit over Nebraska's denial of driver's licenses to immigrants who came into the country illegally as children with their families.
District Judge Jeffre Cheuvront on Wednesday rejected the state's request, the Lincoln Journal Star ( ) reported.
In August 2012, Republican Gov. Dave Heineman declared that Nebraska would deny driver's licenses to the immigrants who became eligible to avoid deportation and work in the U.S. as a result of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program. Several months later he said Nebraska would vigorously defend its policy, even if the state were sued.
The American Civil Liberties Union had filed the lawsuit in June on behalf of four Omaha residents. The lawsuit says Nebraska officials violated state law that requires state agencies to go through a public hearing and comment period before making significant changes to state rules and regulations. The lawsuit says the policy also violates the state constitution's right to due process.

20 Early Warning Signs That We Are Approaching A Global Economic Meltdown

January 25, 2014 By The Doc 6 Comments
Have you been paying attention to what has been happening in Argentina, Venezuela, Brazil, Ukraine, Turkey and China?  If you are like most Americans, you have not been.  Most Americans don’t seem to really care too much about what is happening in the rest of the world, but they should.  In major cities all over the globe right now, there is looting, violence, shortages of basic supplies, and runs on the banks.  We are not at a “global crisis” stage yet, but things are getting worse with each passing day.  For a while, I have felt that 2014 would turn out to be a major “turning point” for the global economy, and so far that is exactly what it is turning out to be.
The following are 20 early warning signs that we are rapidly approaching a global economic meltdown…

"In framing a government which is to be administered by men over men, the great difficulty lies in this: you must first enable the government to control the governed; and in the next place, oblige it to control itself." --James Madison, Federalist No. 51, 1788

Little Sisters Win Big

The Little Sisters of the Poor, a Catholic nun organization, sued the Obama administration over the contraception mandate last year -- one of 91 such lawsuits. Most courts ruled that the administration's exceptions were too narrow and that the rule violates religious liberty. On Friday, the U.S. Supreme Court granted the Little Sisters a permanent stay pending appeal. It was a significant rebuke for an Obama White House that sees no limit on its own power. More significant still, there were no dissents from the Court, meaning even Obama's appointees seem to think he's clearly overstepped his constitutional bounds.

Dear Friends,
Rep. Rodney Davis is an establishment favorite. Davis was described in a Weekly Standard article as 'a good and loyal soldier who the establishment is comfortable with'. In other words, the GOP establishment in Illinois wants Davis to remain in office because he will tow the party line, putting the desires of the party establishment first. While his experience working on campaigns can be seen by some as work to be applauded, I view things a different way. Davis is an entrenched politician with little real world experience to be able to speak for you. I can, and I will.

I'm Erika Harold and I am primarying Rodney Davis. Some of you may know that I'm a former Miss America, and while I proudly wore that crown, for me winning the pageant was a means to an end. It allowed me to put myself through Harvard Law School and graduate debt free. From there, I have been able to use my education, my name recognition, and my commitment to serve the people to impact my community. I am running for Congress to represent the 13th Congressional District of Illinois as a voice of the people, one who has dedicated countless hours to helping youth who face adversity, ministering to families of incarcerated individuals, and assisting in the protection of First Amendment rights. With your assistance, I can be that advocacy voice for you in Congress; fighting for your Constitutionally protected freedoms, not for a party agenda.

FL Governor Rick Scott pressures Republicans to not oppose Common Core

Esther Rachwal, a member of the Republican Party of Sarasota Executive Committee, in an email states, “I can tell you that at the last REC meeting, Tad Mackie presented a Resolution in support of Florida bill HB 25 [which would stop implementation of Common Core] that most of the people there agreed with. However, then Joe Gruters [RPOS Chairman] said that Governor Scott does not agree with this bill. He agrees with part of it but does not want this resolution to pass.  It went back and forth several times and then Jamie Miller said that if we don’t support the Governor he will have a hard time winning re-election and the Governor explicitly said he does not want Republican Clubs to pass this resolution. Others then felt that we ought to support the Governor and even after a hand count, we lost.”

The basic reason that most Christians and Jews do not understand what is really happening is that they have shut down their consciousness in the same way an EMP attack would shut down every light in every city across the nation. The People of the Book have collectively chosen not to believe the book or Word they have been given. This act of unbelief produces a total blindness to all that creates reality, so many Christians and Jews are unable even to suspect what is about to happen, and can be controlled....

Conservatives, we need your support now. January 27, 2014 |
Dear Conservatives,

Faith, family, and freedom in America are more threatened today than at any previous time in FRC's 30-year history. Now more than ever, FRC needs your continued prayers and financial support.
Far too many Christians have been content to sit on the sidelines and hope that things get better. I thank God every day that you are not one of them. Your faithful commitment to FRC has demonstrated that you realize what's at stake -- the fate of religious freedom in the United States. You know that if we do nothing, the Christian witness on which our country was founded will disappear from the public square forever.
We must go on the offensive.
In preparation for that offensive, the first item on FRC's strategic agenda this year is to inform you about the state of religious liberty in America today. Because the mainstream media has blacked out information on the greatest threat to the Constitution since the Civil War, FRC needs to make sure that you are fully aware of the Obama administration's efforts to destroy the First Amendment freedoms American's have enjoyed for centuries.

Dear Conservatives,

The nine justices of the United States Supreme Court are considering arguments made by National Right to Work Foundation staff attorneys that forced union dues for civil servants are incompatible with the First Amendment.

Over the years, Foundation staff attorneys have fought tooth-and-nail for independent-minded workers, winning many limited protections -- protections union bosses frequently go out of their way to violate or ignore.

A new Foundation-won victory highlights once again the need for full Right to Work protections.

With free legal aid from Foundation staff attorneys, a Long Island teacher won a settlement after teacher union bosses stiffed charities that were supposed to receive donations in her name.
